Freedom 96.9 holds the better App Store score, 4.0 against 3.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: KREF has 55 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 57% of KREF's written reviews are positive against 0% of Freedom 96.9's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
KREF ships an update every 3 months, Freedom 96.9 every 6 months. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 18, 2026 respectively.
