Verdict
The clearest difference is update cadence: Bass Enhancer at every 3 weeks against DubFilter's every 6 months. Bass Enhancer also leads on review sentiment (89% vs 73%) and iOS requirement (10.0 vs 17.0). DubFilter's advantage is rating (4.7 vs 4.5). On price, ratings volume, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. DubFilter sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Bass Enhancer sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
DubFilter holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.5. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 71 and 37 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 73% of DubFilter's written reviews are positive against 89% of Bass Enhancer's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
DubFilter ships an update every 6 months, Bass Enhancer every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 7, 2026 and October 1, 2026 respectively.
