Know when camera glasses are near you. Smart glasses like Ray-Ban Meta look like ordinary glasses, but they can film you without a sound. People have been filmed in cafés, on trains and at school, and found out only when the video was online. Glasshole Radar listens for the Bluetooth signal these glasses send and tells you when they are close. Free. No account. Your detections stay on your phone. HOW IT HELPS • Live radar: see at a glance whether camera glasses are nearby, and how close: Very close, Nearby or In range. • Alerts: get a notification when glasses appear, and see the radar on your Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island. • What you can do: clear next steps for the moment, from putting distance between you to telling staff. • News: sourced stories about why camera glasses worry people, with a link to each original article. • History: when glasses were seen and how close they came, kept only on your phone. WHAT IT LOOKS FOR • Ray-Ban Meta and Oakley Meta glasses • Snap Spectacles • Several other Bluetooth camera glasses BE CLEAR ABOUT THE LIMITS • Radar can only see glasses that are switched on and sending a Bluetooth signal. Some glasses send it only at times, for example when switched on or taken out of the case, so Radar can miss glasses that are already in use. • Radar cannot tell whether glasses are recording. • Other devices from the same companies can sometimes cause a match. • Alerts in the background are best effort. iOS decides how often apps can scan when the screen is off. PRIVACY Your detections and history never leave your phone. If you allow it, the app sends anonymous counts of which features are used, with no location, device names or personal details. You can turn this off in Settings. Available in 40 languages.
