Using videos and step-by-step instructions, the app guides you through the procedure for using the system to determine a patient’s fluid responsiveness – placing sensors on the body, performing a fluid challenge via passive leg raise or administration of a fluid bolus, reading the screens on the Starling monitor and interpreting Starling results – and features a protocol for ascertaining fluid responsiveness to guide treatment decisions. Also included are suggestions on addressing technical issues. The “Learn More” section provides additional support and resources for ongoing education: - Clinical evidence validating the effectiveness of Starling technology and demonstrating the positive patient and financial outcomes associated with its use - Case studies providing perspective on using the system in different clinical situations - CME opportunities - Review of hemodynamic basics - Hemodynamics glossary Think of this app as a way to familiarize yourself with the Starling Fluid Management Monitoring System and help you use it to its best advantage.
