Verdict

The call

The clearest difference is price: Avion Flight Simulator ™ at Free against Take Off's $0.99. Avion Flight Simulator ™ also leads on ratings volume (1K vs 197). Take Off's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 2 months vs every 24 months). On rating, review sentiment, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

CostPrice · In-app purchases · Ads · Monetization

Avion Flight Simulator ™ is free to download; Take Off costs $0.99 up front. Take Off sells 9 one-off in-app purchases and Avion Flight Simulator ™ sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

ReceptionRating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings

Avion Flight Simulator ™ holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Avion Flight Simulator ™ has 1K ratings behind it against 197, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 62% of Take Off's written reviews are positive against 57% of Avion Flight Simulator ™'s, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

UpkeepUpdate frequency

Take Off ships an update every 2 months, Avion Flight Simulator ™ every 24 months. Both last shipped on October 16, 2026.
