NICS Mobile vs Digital Medic

The Next-Generation Incident Command System (NICS) is a scalable, non-proprietary, standards-based software platform that provides rich, timely situational awareness, and cross jurisdictional collaboration to improve disaster response operations. NICS has been developed in close partnership with the Emergency Management Community and has been used on hundreds of real-world events since 2010 to coordinate responses to all-hazard incidents (earthquakes, floods, wildland fires), search and rescue operations, and major security events. Digital Medic creates compelling, evidence-based health education that is globally accessible. Our goal is to equip communities with credible information that enables them to improve their own health outcomes. We are an initiative of the Stanford Center for Health Education and develop content in direct partnership with active Stanford faculty. This app is designed for community healthcare professionals and other frontline care providers. Since 2017, Digital Medic has been working with under-resourced communities to create easily adaptable, video-based health education.
