UD Browser is an e-book reading application developed based on universal design principles, with a strong focus on enhancing reading accessibility. This application allows users to switch between fixed layouts (PDF) and reflow layouts (HTML), while supporting a wide range of e-book formats, including EPUB and DAISY. Designed for comfortable use by anyone, it features an OCR function, zoom display, keyboard navigation, dictionary search, and text-to-speech capabilities. The intuitive, easy-to-navigate menus and text selection functions ensure that individuals with low vision can confidently use the app. Additionally, the OCR and file conversion functions enable quick digitization of paper documents. Ideal for use in educational settings, workplaces, and at home, this app is a powerful tool for supporting learning and information sharing. This application was developed under contract with the Yasushi Nakano Laboratory at Keio University and was completed with research funding from the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT) and the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS) (Grant Numbers: 16H02072, 19H00623, 22H00081). "Illustration Vision Training" is a child-friendly app designed to enhance visual skills through interactive exercises, crucial for day-to-day activities such as reading and sports. Aimed at ages 2-6 and those in special needs education, it provides a playful platform for vision training, which involves improving eye movement control and hand-eye coordination. Developed by a teacher with 15 years of experience in special needs education, the app addresses the inefficiencies of traditional vision training methods, offering an accessible, anytime-anywhere practice tool. This addresses the necessity for continuous and repetitive tasks to build visual skills, which are foundational to learning and activities in daily life. The app includes features that allow for adjusting the difficulty to suit developmental stages, from the number of items to be matched to the number of illustrations displayed. A simple interface ensures ease of use, and a marking system helps track progress. It's designed for repeat use, making vision training an engaging experience. Offered for free to ensure wide accessibility, the app supports the development of various visual skills, such as visual acuity, coordination, focus, visual information processing speed and accuracy, memory, and efficient learning.
