Bubble Level + Compass Pro combines a precise spirit level, compass, and Apple Watch companion app, so when your phone is placed somewhere hard to see its screen, you can still get live readings from your wrist. No more out-of-reach setups, and no more crouching. Features: • Bullseye level plus horizontal and vertical levels with 0.1 degree precision • Bubble level units: Angle (degrees) or Incline/Slope (%) • True and magnetic heading with direction text • Magnetic declination • Apple Watch companion app • Gyro or accelerometer sensor mode • Gyro calibration offset to compensate for camera bulge or uneven phone cases • Pitch/Roll/Yaw rotation rate readouts • Compass calibration status • Red-light night mode The tool is normally included in my astronomical app (Polar Scope Align Pro), but I decided to release it as a separate app because I could not find anything with the features I wanted on the app store. (A free ad-supported version is also available)
Glyphboard
Read full descriptionHide full description
Glyphboard is the Unicode Character Viewer for iPhone and iPad — search all 150,000+ Unicode characters, favorite the ones you use, browse every Unicode block, and insert any symbol straight into whatever app you're typing in. If you've ever wished iOS had the equivalent of macOS's Character Viewer (⌘ Ctrl+⌘+Space), this is that. SEARCH BY NAME, NOT BY GUESSING Type "arrow," "star," "hebrew," or "smiley" and see every matching character instantly — not a curated shortlist of a few dozen favorites, but the actual, full Unicode standard, ranked and searchable by name. BROWSE EVERY BLOCK Arrows, Box Drawing, Mathematical Operators, Braille, Dingbats, CJK Unified Ideographs, Hangul Syllables — all ~320 Unicode blocks, browsable even where the underlying character names aren't meaningful to search on their own (Tangut, CJK Ideographs), with a filter to jump straight to the block you want. INSERT ANYWHERE, INSTANTLY Tap a character in the keyboard to insert it directly into any app's text field — Messages, Notes, Slack, your code editor, anywhere the system keyboard would normally appear. No copying from a browser tab, no switching apps to paste. DEVELOPER-GRADE DETAIL Long-press any character for its full metadata: codepoint, Unicode block, category, HTML entity, CSS escape, JavaScript escape, Swift string literal, and raw UTF-8 bytes — each one independently copyable. Pinch to zoom into the glyph itself and inspect baseline, x-height, cap-height, ascender, descender, and ink-bound guides, the same reference lines a type-design tool like Font Book would show. FAVORITES THAT SYNC INSTANTLY Star a character in the app or the keyboard and it's immediately available in the other — no account, no sign-in, no network round-trip. Both read and write the same on-device App Group storage. BUILT FOR: • Programmers and Markdown writers • Mathematicians and scientists • Linguists, translators, and multilingual writers (Hebrew, Arabic, Greek, Cyrillic, and more) • Wikipedia editors and technical writers • Anyone who's ever needed an em dash, a real minus sign, or a check mark and settled for a hyphen and an "x" instead PRIVACY Glyphboard makes no network requests, collects no analytics, and never asks for "Full Access" for its keyboard — full privacy policy in Settings. Glyphboard is a focused utility, not a replacement for your everyday keyboard: use it alongside the system keyboard whenever you need a symbol it doesn't have a key for.
