Rowwise counts rows for knitting and crochet, and keeps the record of what you made. COUNTING · One wide tap band. A thumb on a live stitch does not need precision. · A haptic tick on every row, so you can count without looking at the screen. · Undo takes back exactly one row. Anything you already wrote or photographed stays where it is. · Several counters in one project — body, sleeve L, sleeve R — each keeping its own total. · Set a target, and the screen says 28 to go instead of just 46. THE ROW-BY-ROW LOG Every row you note becomes a line with the date it was counted: 40 started chart B, 32 switched to 4.0 mm, 1 cast on 148 sts. When a sleeve goes wrong three weeks later, that log is where you find the row you changed something. PHOTOS, BACKUP AND A CARD (Rowwise Pro, one-time purchase) · A photo on any row: the swatch, the gauge, the mistake you want to remember. · A ZIP backup that carries the photos with it, so a new phone can have the whole history back. · A printable PDF project card — the entire row-by-row log on one page, for the person who wants to know how you made it. STAYS ON YOUR PHONE No account, no sign-in, no server, no ads, no tracking. Rowwise makes no network calls at all: your work lives in the app's own storage until you export it yourself. If a save ever fails, or a file cannot be read, the app says so on the screen and keeps the file rather than starting you over. ONE PRICE Counting, notes, counters and projects are free, and they stay free. Rowwise Pro is a single purchase — not a subscription, not a trial that expires. The price is whatever the App Store shows in your currency. The interface is English only in this version; this page is here so you can see what the app does before downloading. iPhone only.

Verdict
The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Global Citizen at none against Rowwise's 1. Global Citizen also leads on iOS requirement (15.0 vs 26.0). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Rowwise sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Global Citizen asks for nothing beyond the download.
