Verdict
The clearest difference is review sentiment: PLAY OPC at 75% against Panasonic LUMIX Sync's 15%. PLAY OPC also leads on monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). Panasonic LUMIX Sync's advantage is rating (4.2 vs 3.2) and ratings volume (1.1K vs 9). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
Panasonic LUMIX Sync holds the better App Store score, 4.2 against 3.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Panasonic LUMIX Sync has 1.1K ratings behind it against 9, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 75% of PLAY OPC's written reviews are positive against 15% of Panasonic LUMIX Sync's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
PLAY OPC ships an update every 2 months, Panasonic LUMIX Sync every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 27, 2026 respectively.
