What's New in 0.3MP Camera

3.5.10

August 19, 2026

Original 0.3MP Camera by Dmitry Shatilov! "Scarily accurate to real early digital phone camera" — that’s how users describe the 0.3MP Camera app in App Store reviews. The next big update needs a bit more time, so here's something for now: the used free shots counter has been reset to 0 for everyone who has ever downloaded the app! Enjoy taking free shots again

my opinion and review on this

i like this app but my only complaint abt is why we have to pay to take more than 10 photos/videos. that genuinely sounds so ridiculous im sorry

(edit) the reason why i think it’s ridiculous is because it’s just worthless, and ive never seen other camera apps require you money to take more photos/videos?? It’s fair if they make you pay for smt else in the app but just to take MORE photos?? yeah no dude 😭😭 maybe add some filters or something and make them cost money because just paying to take photos crazy in my opinion. good app tho, just remove where you have to pay to take more photos.

Love it 💯

This app is really really nostalgic and nice and it’s so so accurate the camera and the sound quality makes me feel really like if I’m in the early 2000s I love it and yes we need to pay to take more than 10 pics/vids but i think that it’s worth it and not even expensive! So honestly I’ll give it 5 stars ! 💓

Major fixing needed

This is a 10 star app but the fact that we have to pay after 10 shots is crazy, plz make the basic features and filters free atleast

FAQ

What does the 0.3MP Camera app do?

This app recreates the experience of using a mobile phone camera from the early 2000s. It emulates the low resolution, artifacts, and simple interface of those vintage devices to give your photos a nostalgic feel.

What kind of photo effects does it offer?

The app recreates specific artifacts found in old CMOS sensors, such as Bayer filter effects, dark and banding noises, and blooming. It also includes a digital zoom feature that reduces image quality, just like on older phones.

Is the app free to use?

The app is free to download and use, but it offers in-app purchases. These purchases likely provide additional features or enhancements beyond the core emulation experience.

What devices is this app compatible with?

The description does not specify exact compatibility requirements. However, as it is an App Store application, it is designed for iOS devices. Users should check the App Store listing for specific iOS version compatibility.

How can I use this app for common use cases?

You can use this app to capture new photos or videos with a distinct retro aesthetic, or import your existing photos to apply the vintage processing. It's ideal for creating nostalgic content for social media or personal projects.
