Tedious
This is of course a great idea, more reading is better—but adding books is so tedious! It would be so much better if I could bulk-add books instead of individually choosing a book, selecting a child, and accepting. I have one kid, it shouldn’t take 3 steps per book.
A way what better way to track
We started 1000 books before kindergarten with my oldest son. It was difficult to track the books as we were doing it manually. The app makes it so much more easy. We read a book and scan the code and we stay on track without having to stop and write down titles.
Inappropriate books
I was looking for the book goodnight kisses. Instead I found a book labeled “oral sex is the new goodnight kiss”. I get that it said any book, but that’s disgusting. It’s 1000 books before KINDERGARTEN. To have that instead of the actual children’s book I was looking for is so weird. There was no way for me to report the book listing or contact support. It could be a really great app but now more then ever we want safe apps that are marketed toward children

Still Glitchy
It won’t let me contact support. Picture of reader always stretches out. It would be nice if I could select more than one book to add to log. I sometimes read like 10 books to her within a few hours and when I log them when she’s napping it would be easier to select instead of typing each in.
Buggy, can’t add books to my library
Posting here because there’s no “report a problem” part of the app or a help page on their website. So far I’ve had tons of troubles trying to add books to my library. Sometimes it lets me, sometimes not. Restarting the app (refreshing or closing it and opening it again) doesn’t work. I can search for a book no problem, but when I click one and then try to click “add” it does nothing most of the time. Every once in a while it works but not always and it’s annoying.

Great tracker but bad app
This app is so glitchy!!! If I’m adding books, sometimes it doesn’t add them and I have to keep doing it over and over until it finally decides to log it. The app has crashed a plethora of times while I was logging books and the worst glitch was it deleting all my info and logging me out on my phone. I couldn’t access the app at all on my phone and had to download it on my iPad to even access my account again. Deleted the app and I’m going to try to redownload it to see if it works again but sheesh. Wish I found another app before I got to 200 books logged.

I’ve always liked this app. Occasionally would glitch and not add books to the readers. But this new update makes it harder to add books. You used to be able to scan the book and add it, now you have to add out of the library. Would love if this could be fixed
We LOVE 1,000 Books
We have been using this app with our local library and it’s just the best. Once you log your first 100 (then every 100 afterwards), you get a free book at your local library. We love reading and scanning our books.
Crashes
Crashes all the time when scanning new books. Reader disappeared and lost all of our reading list
My progress disappeared!!
I have read over 1000 books to my one-year-old and recorded every single one of them in the app. When I went to record the books, he read yesterday with his grandma. There are no longer any readers added to our app. All of the books I have added to the library have disappeared, and all of my progress has been lost! I wish I had kept a paper copy and not just relied on the app I am heartbroken. 💔

It wouldn’t let me add books not on their list
I downloaded the app, signed up, added a reader, went through the list of books in the app to add what my child read… but it wouldn’t allow me to add books not on the list.
Needs some updates
The concept of this app is great and we love being able to digitally keep track of the books we’ve read to our little one. However, as many others have stated, this app is slow and glitchy. It regularly crashes, we have to close the app and wait awhile when trying to add more than one or two books at a time, and a lot of the books we scan cannot be found in the app, even with a valid ISBN. Scholastic books are never in there and we read a lot of those. Adding books manually is kind of a pain.

Great idea, HORRIBLE app
The app crashes often, is extremely slow to load, often times does not load the library, and we have to keep removing the app from multitasking and reopen it and try again. The app isn’t worth the hassle. Much easier to manually log the books on paper than to use this app.

Glitchy
Love the app to keep track of books but it is so glitchy and I am constantly troubleshooting things.
Can’t log back in
All of a sudden I was logged out and can’t log back in or even reset the password
I want to love it
I want to love this app, I really do! But it’s so frustratingly inaccurate. I read with my child multiple books every day. He’s now 2 but I only discovered this app now so I have a lot of back logging to do. However, I can scan 10-15 books and all select my son as the reader and his reading count only goes up by 2 or 3. Super frustrating while trying to parent a toddler as well.

Love the idea, terrible execution
The app idea is great but the glitches are terrible. Over half the time my read books don’t get added correctly. Also the fact that you have to add a book to your library just to add it to your read books is silly. Just have a button that lets you say you read a book. All the extra stuff is a waste and makes the app confusing

Profiles
I have 3 kiddos in this program. This app won’t let me put different pictures for all of them(only shows my eldest’s picture and then duplicates it for the others) and duplicated each kiddos profile twice so now I have 6 profiles. Very frustrating and glitchy.
Great app to track but very glitchy
Love the app to easily track and count our books along the way. However, it is SO glitchy. Every time I’m adding books into the library, then I select which reader to add them to, it’s hit or miss as to whether or not it adds to the child’s book list. Then it’s also often that it’ll show an added book but the total count does not update. Im always closing the app and logging in again to try to correct it. Sometimes it works. Sometimes it doesn’t. As much as I like the app for easy access (and use it for the nice visual), I use paper tracking list as well printed from the website.

Can’t add reader
Would like to try the app but I can’t get past adding the reader part. It lets me put the name and profile picture. I press confirm and nothing happens.
