What is going on?

Used this app for months with no issues and now all of a sudden every time i open the app, it wont load and insists my network connections are not working, when everything is the same as its always been and everything is connected. i use this to connect to my garmin and it is insanely frustrating.

Buggy

App doesn’t pull my stats into tournaments I have to delete and reinstall every time I want my step count to show in tournaments.

Easy to use!

Love how easy it is to sync my steps from my Garmin and add my minutes of activity. Like using the Groups section and the monthly challenges.

Bugs in latest version

Been using this since 2011. Latest version has a severe bug where it is CHANGING my step log. I’ll enter steps for a few days at a time and sync them. Then a couple of days later I’ll come back to add more and find some of the days have completely different numbers. Thinking I can’t trust this app anymore :(

Can’t sign up

It doesn’t respond when I submit my info to sign up. No error messages, so I have no idea why it won’t proceed.

Great app

I really like this app, however it would be key if the app could implement automatically refresh of activity rather than users having to pull down the screen. The reason I would like this feature this is that I noticed my team members scores are not updated frequently despite them training daily, thus making competitions feel less competitive.

Can’t sign up

Can’t actually sign up. Keeps saying you have to pick a state in Australia even if you didn’t select that as a country

Easy to use - love the update.

Love how easy it is to add my steps and minutes of activity. The new layout is great, really enjoy the monthly challenges.

Minor tweak please

I really like the new look app, but can you please add back in the “daily average steps required to meet your monthly challenge” (not the eg 13000 steps, but the one that’s compared to the steps you’ve already taken and what you need to get daily to meet the target). I loved this about the old app, it kept me on track on a daily basis (especially if I was behind), but it’s not in the new app version and it’s not in the web version either. Otherwise, great app, great program.

Won’t upload garmin or do anything

Won’t upload steps from garmin and wants me to manually enter my logs daily. No thank you I do t have time to do that! I just want to press a button that syncs and uploads. Why change that factor in the update, why go backwards? Makes no sense!!

Response from developer

Feeling motivated

LOVE the new app! Looks great, easy to navigate and has definitely motivated me to move more. Love being able to set in-app reminders for myself too. Thank you 10,000 Steps!

Response from developer

Hi Little Miss Rebel Rouser, thank you for leaving us a review. We are so glad to hear that you love the new app and are finding it easy to navigate. We hope that it continues to boost your motivation and keep your healthy habits on track! 10,000 Steps Team.

Much better

Significantly improved since last years challenge. Apple health sync is great. Though I think it’s over-counting my steps, despite syncing from apple health. There’s no real settings to play with, so I don’t see how or why it could be, but it’s often close to double my step count! I worry that many of the challenge participants are going to have massively inflated step counts!

Developer response to this bug is to fiddle with settings rather than just fix the app to not double count. This is a worry. ):

Hi by the-frog, thank you for your feedback! We are glad to hear that integration with Apple Health is helpful. We are aware that steps can be duplicated if your Motion & Fitness Settings allowing steps from the Apple Health app itself to also be imported in addition to those counted by your device causing a high step count. This can be disabled in iOS devices in Settings >Privacy > Motion and Fitness. If you have any further questions, please contact our team at 10000steps@cqu.edu.au. Thank you, 10,000 Steps Team.

Unable to log into the app

I am unable to log in via the app but can log in via a link in the email. However unable to syn the apple health app with 10,000 steps app. I have a iPhone 14 pro max. Very frustrating to say the least

Response from developer

Hi there, we are sorry to hear that you are having troubles logging in. You may need to delete the app and re-install. In regards to connecting with Apple Health, the integration will need to be set up under Integrations (more information is provided here: https://www.10000steps.org.au/support/10000-steps-app/connecting-apple-health/) . If you need any further support please contact our team on 10000steps@cqu.edu. Thank you, 10,000 Steps Team.

Needs work

Pretty much doesn’t work. Seriously overcounts steps despite being synced with apple health. Loses days, for example it’s currently Monday 3rd October and my ‘yesterday’ is for Saturday 1st

Outdated

The website is great, however this app is sooo outdated. Looks like it’s still meant for an iPhone 4 screen.. also there needs to be more options for it to connect to other devices.

Response from developer

Hi Je$ic@!!!, we are glad to hear that you like the website and we appreciate your feedback. We are currently working on an updated version of the app which should be released in the coming months. 10,000 Steps Team
