  • Good app at first

This is a good app for the first couple of weeks of recovery. After a few weeks some of the questions don’t really apply. Pain meds are not needed.
  • Right Hip Replacement Oct 15/23 with Dr Daniel Pincus

I found the entire process to be excellent and efficient, the nursing and medical staff were very attentive, thoughtful, detail-oriented and experienced which is very calming for the patient.

Feedback from Dr Pincus and Client services was also excellent. I called in once by phone to Sunnybrook Holland Centre with a question on physio and that was surprisingly efficient and direct. Kudos here!

Client Services could call you midway (day 21 or thereafter) if the surgeon normally calls you at home. Dr Pincus did call me the day after I got home, which was great, but Client Services also called the day after as well. Both are welcomed, but the calls could be spread out. I would prefer a Client Services call mid way in the 42 days recovery system.

I’m not sure if this is common procedure, but having Dr Pincus calling home on my cellular a few days after the surgery was just so reassuring.

The Assessment appointment was not sent out to me, but when I called in, they explained it was an ongoing IT/IS issue they are working on. Again, great client/customer service.

The Sunnybrook Holland Centre app asked you the important questions and kept telling you that you were on the right track to recovery, while still keeping you connected to the hospital.

I first thought the app would be annoying, but just the opposite! Very helpful technology.

Just a great experience, from start to finish from my perspective.

    Keep up the great work!

    Best Regards, Brian Empringham
