Reviews of Beats Pill⁺

  • Returning 3 Beats Pills

I was so excited about this new beats product. I love my wireless earbuds so I bought three of the beats pills in hopes that I could create a surround sound in my room, connecting all three of them together to play in unison.

However, I’m returning all three of them because the app is garbage. It’s horrible. It’s slow. It’s clunky it’s not Advanced technologically like the earbuds are and I see other people are having problems too. It only has three stars..

I checked the Bose app and the Bose app is ranked five out of five and it sounds like they already have the technology side of things figured out with their speakers so I’m gonna switch to Bose. Sadly I love these these beats pills. They’re beautiful and the sound is amazing. Unfortunately, I’m not able to do what I want with them because of the lack of technology in the app.
  • Apple is just as incompetent as Sonos these days

Does not work with the new Beats Pill and the integration with Beats Pill+ was poor prior to today’s product launch. I am in disbelief after purchasing the updated Pill that the last version update to this app was released 5 years ago and current support documentation actively recommends people download it for enhanced product functionality, despite the volume of extensive pre-existing utilization / compatibility issues with Beats Pill+ . My hope is that Apple has an updated version of this application for imminent release that’s going to resolve the compatibility issues rampant in this product lineup. I would never have expected Apple to launch a device with this volume of software compatibility issues. Eerily similar to how Sonos handled their recent device / software rollout. However, I hold Apple and its employees to a much higher standard than Sonos, and to think a room full of engineers and software developers didn’t take this into account before deployment of the new Pill…?
  • They fixed it!

A few weeks ago the app started crashing. I spoke with Apple and they fixed it. It’s working again. It’s good if you have two Beats Pill+ to make them a stereo pair or simply to play the same music at the same time. It is not for the Beats products.
