Leave a Review Audirvāna Remote
Music at its best
I have to say, the new version of the app is a massive step forward and a real treasure for people that like to listen to music for leisure at home. I love the fact that it can seamlessly play a local library or stream. I’m delighted with the really excellent music sound quality this app generates to produce gorgeous music. By that I mean not all apps are born equal in the reproduction quality of the music. This one, I think, is at the top.

It connects to the computer about 70% of the time and when it does you have to wait about 1-3 minutes for it to connect. That doesn’t really work when you just want to hear a song. If you’re the kind who listens to full albums like me or just keeps one station playing it’s fine. The other 30% of the time you have to shut down Audirvana on your computer and restart it. My wifi signal is quite strong. By the way when it fails to connect it gives you the option “Having trouble connecting to Audirvana”? Clicking on that brings you to a page called “Getting Started with Audirvana “. Uhm ... thanks.Show lessFINALLY I can remote control audio from my computer in another room!
I use this for some audiophile music playback. My desktop computer is in another room and I hooked it up to my Oppo Digital player via the USB DAC with a long cable. I can send high resolution audio directly from my computer to the player and play it back on my stereo without worrying about issues with which type of network streaming I am using (WiFi vs wired. DLNA vs SMB and what will play via which streaming standard) plus I can remotely control what is playing from my computer in another room! This app finds music from Tidal and Qobuz. It also finds the music on my computer and network back up hard drive. I am VERY happy!!Show less
