  • Need to be able to disable iOS features during play

Lots of aircraft come from the top or bottom of the screen. This causes the iOS quick menus to pop up and interrupt the game and prevents you from stopping crashes
  • I use to own this game when it was an EA game

I wasted countless hours on this game 5-10 years ago when it was originally released by ea games glad it’s had a new lease on life.
  • Could be a lot better

This game would be so much better if things like spawning one aircraft right into another one with zero chance of avoiding impact which ends the game. On easy this happens all the time on some levels before I’m ten planes in. Also the one where you need to put out the fires is just not a good level given the planes that spawn and the speed of those vs the copters. Sure it might be challenging and all but it ruins the fun of the game. This is a common issue with mobile games and I think the developers just aren’t being hands on enough. Generally speaking I think devs start out with the right ideas but then don’t play their own games other than under testing conditions, or possibly get advice from people who benefit from not giving honest opinions. Just a thought, I do not know this dev or what he/she actually does personally it’s just a hunch from playing games for 30+ years and noticing trends in games which change an incredible amount over the years. Trying to be constructive and to steal a current phrase, “make gaming great again!”

Oh UJustMadeItWeard, it seams like you played our game a lot! Thank you for a very detailed review and for a very alternative opinion! We are much more professional gamers than professional game developers and we code only what we like to play and not what any publishing house/marketing agency or tester advices us ;) What really matters for us is opinion of our fans, air traffic controllers and pilots. Can you imagine that REAL air traffic controllers and pilots find Planes Control very realistic? I know, sounds scary ;) Trying to be constructive and to steal a current phrase, "Planes Control is just a game. Don't take it too seriously".
  • Really Fun Game!

As a huge fan of Aviation, I very much enjoy this game. Even if aviation isn’t your thing, this game would still be fun to you. I would suggest this game- it’s a fun new way to be a virtual pilot from home!
  • Flight Control but with a different name

As many other reviews say, this is a great revamp and upgrade of an old favourite, Flight Control. Loved that one, and so far am enjoying this. One star off a top rating due to the lack of muzac! That was one of the soothing and appealing aspects of the original - please bring some back in the upgrades!

  • OK for 5 mins

It’s OK for about 5 mins. Don’t like the forced ads instead of optional ads. Deleting after this comment.

Thank you for the review DanijelJames, Planes is a casual game coded to entertain you for 5-10 minutes per day! We are so happy you played it exactly during this time! We are not sure what you mean by optional ads... It's very optional to purchase a free of ads version if you want. And sorry but we will not delete our game after our comment due to respect to other gamers ;)
  • So much potential but

This game is well made and very nice, very enjoyable
BUT and it's a big but that make me drop the game everytime after playing 10 minute.
There's always a plane crashing with another in the part of the map that I dont even control yet.
For example I have a plane flying next to the border of the phone, and all of the sudden a plane that is not even on the map yet come and crash with it. Sometimes it's even 2 planes that are not even on the map that crash with each other with no possibility at all to do anything about it. It's so frustrating that it doesn't even make me want to play anymore.
Another issue but not as bad, every plane coming from the top of the phone, I almost have to wait for them to be a quarter of the phone inside, because before that, if I touch the plane for trajectory, it just pull the phone tab with the control panel.
    Please fix theses 2 things!

  • Needs lots of improvement

Progress doesn’t save!!! If you want to pause your game and finish it up later in the day, you’re out of luck. I would play this way more often if I could do that. Huge disappointment.

You can’t reach planes at the top of the screen without pulling down notifications. Not sure of a good way to get around this, maybe have a buffer at the very top?

Instructions for new levels disappear too quickly and can never be accessed again. Still not sure how to play the shooting level.

Icons are confusing. Why use an “options” or “list” icon as the button for the home screen? Very unintuitive.

I love the old flight control but this is worse. Would give 4 stars if all if only it would save your progress!!!

  • Best Flight Control Game

I’m really enjoying this flight control game. It doesn’t force any microtransactions on you. Levels can be unlocked through reasonable natural progression, and the few in-app purchases it has are reasonably priced and are worth it to support this kind of game these days (I never purchase the extra rescues because I feel I don’t need them. Just let the game over happen and try again.)

I’m enjoying playing this on the iPad. The game is essentially free so there’s no reason why you shouldn’t just give it a shot.

Thank you so much for the review and for the positive vibes, PancakesGo! Your review made our day! You probably also know that more than one person can play on iPad at the same time. So once your screen is overwhelmed with planes just invite your friends/family/neighbours to help you out ( some of our friends plane Planes Control with their couples) :)
  • Flight Control reborn

If you miss the classic Flight Control, which was discontinued several versions of iOS ago, then this is basically a more or less an exact copy of that. The only thing missing from Flight Control is, disappointingly, the Jazz intro to each level. I really dig that music and thought it really set the mood for a 20s air traffic controller. I’d love if they could go get that tune, but I imagine EA (whom I think now owns the rights to Flight Control) owns it and wouldn’t give it up cheaply. At any rate, if you loved Flight Control as I did and have been looking for a game that copied it since, look no further. This game rocks.
