very powerful and easy to use. creative musician will love it.
  • Nice one

Good synth for working with bass, pads, leads, poly. Nice clean one-page interface, only other window is for the arp. (And it's a really good arp too, jam on it in real time.) LPF on the delay does lead to some interesting patches if you are a delay junkie. Not overloaded with presets but most of what they include are usable, very few of the "I created this amazing patch that you are never going to use" type. Dual filters remind me of my Virus. More of a "digital" sound than synths like iSEM or iMini, but not harsh. Reliable too. Audiobus is solid. Midi learn. You can create your own folders for user presets. You can create arp presets too. All good.

  • Great VA sound

Can't go wrong with this one, if you're looking for bread and butter virtual analog sound. Reminds me of a single-instance of Nord Lead. I have many other iOS synths already, but once again IceGear developer proves their instruments are simple yet effective and useful. I dig it!
  • Beautiful Sounds!

Of the 44 synths I currently have loaded on my iPad, this one ranks up at the top of the pile. The interface is very intuitive and the sound engine is simply beautiful. This is one app that I take great pleasure in composing with or simply noodling. I also really like IceWorks other synths, Laplace, Mersenne, and Cassini. All are very well done but this one is perhaps my favorite. In a field that's saturated with so many synth apps its easy to miss some really great ones. I'm glad I gave this one a try!

  • Solid, unspectacular

Just as Laplace had the 'Exciter' module that set it apart from the sea of iOS synths, Lorentz has a unique feature in its delay LPF.

It's compact and easy to tweak, but I felt boxed in and forced to use delay after a while, as the sounds sans the delay effect are just par for the course. Lorentz is a solid third-tier iOS synth.

  • Great sounds

You can craft some really unique sounds with this thing. The resonator adds a nice touch and the arp is top notch. Nice accessible interface, great synth for beginners.
  • Wonderful interface

This is what happens when someone gets it right and designs a real synth that looks AND SOUNDS like one. Beautiful ! I love this synth. One request is to save the arp notes in the patch.peace Christo
  • Limited usage due to poor design

You can't really use thus synth for any really serious work. All the multiple setting features you can only "step" though the setting which forces you to stop playing so you don't hear the in-between settings. They really didn't think that through. And the built in keyboard is only 2 octaves with no ability to move up and down the octaves. Yes, there is oscillator range button but like I already mentioned, you have to step through the three range choices and you can only travel top to bottom and back to the top. That just isn't good design.

  • Very nice Synth

How are there no reviews on this thing? Oh that's right, according to the audiobus forum reviews are a waste a time and do no good?

This synth has some amazing sounds, all the tweaks can be done on one screen. Easy to dial in a great tone, 6 bucks? What's to think about.
  • One of my favorites

This app sounds great right out of the gate, and has plenty of options for further tweaking your sounds. The interface is simple and well laid out, and just works with no rude surprises. MIDI implementation works fine. A little in-app help would be a welcome addition, though a manual is available on the Web. Highly recommend.
