WORST APP IVE EVER DOWNLOADED

So I get frustrated really easily and this app if I’m trying to draw or I need to zoom in it like zooms me so far away from what I drew JUST LET ME ZOOM IN AND NO IT ISNT BECAUSE OF MY DEVICE IVE TRIED IT ON MANY OTHER DEVICES TOO also when I was drawing those zoom arts it literally kicked me out when I was on my last zooming picture AND IT KICKED ME OUT it’s not EVEN FREE I’m deleting and this is a one star if u r like me NEVER DOWNLOAD THIS

Awful customer service

The app is great and as a teacher has completely changed the way I teach, this would be a 5 star review however the customer service is so bad that I am at the end of my tether with trying to get any support and so cannot use what I know is a fantastic app

GREAT APP

I love this app very much. It is my number one drawing/creating app. If you are wondering what this app does then it is similar to canva but to much better. This app has so many more features than many other apps and really does explain everything! If you are needing to make something for work٫ or to make a presentation for school or are simply just wanting to create or draw something and have fun then this is the perfect app to do that. In this app, you can add anything you want to a simple white document or an already started document and if you don’t know how to use the app, you can click a button and it will explain everything for you. I know this review is starting to get lengthy but I have much more to talk about this wonderful app. Even if you do not want to make any presentation or any document, then you can draw on this app. You can find a picture or a drawing/clipart to trace over it, delete the picture and you’ll have a really good picture or a really good drawing, or you can simply just free draw. This app is so much fun. I am seriously exited because there’s so many things to do on this app. If you read this whole review thank you because I know this is really long to wrap this up, this app is amazing. I am so excited to use it.

Glitches that are left unresolved

Lots of positives about this whiteboard, but it is often not possible to select the desired control, so you’re slowed and frustrated over and over. They release a n ew version of the app and don’t address that problem. Are they properly testing their own product?

I love using this!

This is a great teaching and learning tool, with lots of features for creating and sharing information. I love the recording facility, which has been very useful for my students to review lessons after class.

Used to be my favorite app, now it is not

Now, there is a new app since they “discontinued the old app”, which I still have a copy of, I decided to switch to the new layout. Then I got a message saying “Your account has been restricted you can have a limit of 3 projects no longer than 3 mins, and 1 slide.”. Really annoyed me. Used to love the app.

Purchasing Explain Everything Basics does not grant access to premium features in our other app, Explain Everything Whiteboard. Free users of Explain Everything Whiteboard have limited access to it. Misleading statement on their website.

I wanted the Basics version today. I saw on the website that it wouldn’t be available AFTER December 7, 2023, but that’s a lie. Today is December 7, and it’s already not available in App Store.

I was mislead by this company and it does not feel great.

Good for teaching but some bugs

I have tried a few programs for making content videos for my class, and this program is the easiest to use. You can edit your videos as you go without any need for additional video editing software. There are sometimes bugs that cause the program to close unexpectedly, and when this happens I sometimes loose all of my recorded content since the last save. It is very frustrating when it happens, through it doesn’t happen too often and I’ve adapted by saving more frequently.

Furthermore, could you please restart your device and check if there is a folder named 'Recovery' in your Explain Everything’s Library? If so, it should contain your lost project as this appears if the app closes suddenly and a file has not been properly saved.

Excellent App!

I've used lots of whiteboard apps. I've been teaching for lots of years. Recently I switched to a flipped classroom model for my math classes. Explain Everything has been a game changer for me. The current toolset is very good and it has grown over the past year or so. What I really like, other than the ease of use, is the simplicity of sharing what you create. Being able to collaborate on whiteboards is cool but the ability to export slides, videos in whatever format you want is what I need in my classes. So, if you are teaching anyone anything, this is an app that you simply must try!

Just updating my review. Still 5 stars. I’ve started using the synchronous collaborative tools - giving the code and allowing remote participants to contribute. I’m only a few days in but I am rethinking how I’ll do my lessons to make them even more interactive and engaging. The ability to embed the lesson into our learning management system (Canvas) and/or provide the code for them to join on any device has been pretty seamless so far.

Also, the new clear all drawings is a huge time saver. I reuse lessons from past years which, of course, have tons of scribbles on them. It used to be a pain to clean up the slide. Now, it’s a quick press and hold, tap clear drawings. Great stuff.

From Biggest Fan to Most Frustrated Subscriber

To echo what the many people who has used Explain Everything for years; it was an amazing product and now it is practically unusable.

The consistent line width “feature” is unstable and causes my Apple Pencil markings to entirely glitch way too often.
When it does work as intended, it is still a downgrade. Instead of natural and slight differences in line width, line widths jump from thin to extremely thick as soon as I pass through the zoom threshold for that particular width.
Lines are also not entirely smooth anymore and have an odd squared off look to them.

I reached out to customer service the day the “update” went through and was told that consistent line width would be a feature that could be toggled on and off by the end of the week. Nothing yet, but fingers crossed.
