Teacher support IN ENGLISH NEEDED!!
I’ve been a teacher on PF for several months and have run into an access problem: I cannot log into the system. Like many PF teachers, I do not know Chinese. I have found no clear (English) instructions on how to contact support to ask questions. No link, no email nothing. Teacher support is essential to every successful school. ESL Teacher
I have been using PalFish for over a year and have taught almost 1600 hours. This is my main source of income and my pay has been steady still the beginning. Most people that have issues with the app are not willing to put in the work. Yes, there is a lot of “unpaid” work...but we are self employed. PalFish provides the platform we teach on. It is up to us to attract students. I see teachers daily bash PalFish, I’ve never had an issue or any problems at all and I teach daily. I love having the freedom to work a few hours a day (early morning) then I’m done until the following day. I have the freedom to choose my own hours, I have the freedom to make as much or as little money I want in a month. This job isn’t for everyone.Show lesskwheeler851
Only care about taking YOUR money
When I first join Palfish in September 2019 it was great. I was getting classes and even gained some regulars. Then suddenly I stop getting classes. When they start hiring new teachers you can kiss your class goodbye unless you are a blonde hair light skin teacher . It is a shame. Also if their app crashes they blame you and take money from you for leaving class or being late for their app faults. They will tell you to make an appeal but that will cost you 25 RMB then they will not approve that appeal and so you end up losing more money 🤗. They do not care about teacher so don’t believe the BS you see on social media.Show lessHATeIoXdog
Students are awesome
Have a great time being a teacher on here I myself have dyslexia and having a disability where students can except me and understand I’m not perfect but still appreciate what I’m able to offer also learning from the students that I teach they are very understanding and compromising now as far as the platform it has major glitches that can cost you I don’t do this job as a main income anymore due to these glitches that has been very disappointing to try to fix or to explain your case they do not pay you back as quick as they take your money and no matter how many screenshots you have if they feel it’s a time frame within their timeframe of their updates and them fixing their app without giving you a notice or the students a notice and you’re involved with can’t except calls can’t text can’t upload your lessons due to these issues they will not take responsibility so this job is only A good job for those who don’t take money too seriously and just want to have fun teaching and learning Chinese culture from the students this is just my perspective but I hope you have a blast and whatever choice you choose and if you have been a teacher and able to work with these glitches kudos to you and keep up the awesome work alright y’all have a good dayShow lessLove7043
Crashing
I really enjoy teaching on Palfish and have made a really great amount of money in the past 5 months. I am however having a problem with the app crashing during class on my iPhone 11 pro. The problem is happening since updating it yesterday. I hope the Palfish tech team can identify the problem and fix it quickly.Show lessCleanairbreather
Poor Practices and Teachers hardly get hours
Soo first and foremost Teachers aren’t being supplied with many students nowadays and Teachers aren’t native english teachers anymore as I’ve seen chinese teachers on the app. Palfish is doing a disservice to highly educated professional teachers. Poor app quality which freezes every single day. Palfish caters to the Communist Party of China as well, they tremble whenever the Government changes anything. My opinion stay away from the Company. Don’t quit your day job
This company has a lot of potential but it’s definitely a hit or miss. There are some teachers that become highly successful but it doesn’t pan out that way for everybody. In the beginning they’ll send you trials but after that it’s up to you to market yourself. Everyone markets themselves the same way, yet everyone gets different results. The lessons are decent and flexibility is great. But there are huge fines for being late or having to cancel a class due to personal emergencies. The goal is to get “regular” students that you teach daily by selling packages, which doesn’t happen that often. I’ve referred people that need extra income. But for me the money wasn’t worth the time, dedication and effort that I put in.Show lesstinyterror
Best job ever
To date this is one of the best jobs I’ve ever had! You have to be serious and willing to market yourself. You get what you put in. If you sit idly you won’t get results, you have to be active and passionate. It may take a while to see results for your labor, but you’ll never regret sticking it out! SCAMMED
In order to even get classes you need to do alll kinda of unpaid work then I’f comething goed wring with the app and you’re 2 minutes behind from THEIR app glitches, not only do they cancel you from class and you lose that money but they CHARGE YPU / deduct automatically $14 then if you want to appeal it they charge another 25 yuan and still deny you. Somehow I was credited back that last 25 ya which is a few dollars but in less than a month there and only 14.5 hours of teaching at less than min wage they charged me over &30 US dollars!!! Before taxes! Plus all the free work to get /attract students!!bhow does anyone work or make $ in China???!!!Show lessscammed x 3
Great company
I LOVE working for this company. I’ve been working here since May 2019 and I have been able to financially sustain myself here without needing another job. The classes are SUPER easy teach, the app is very easy and user friendly and the students are so cute and fun to teach. I also make a lot of money!
