Great app
I see someone reviewed this app and I can see they’re probably just mad. I’ve made $400 in a week, working maybe 2-3 hours a day. You can easily make bonuses. You are comped for cancelled classes, and if there’s a no show, you still get paid the full amount. The children are amazing beings and very smart. I’ve never seen someone talked to wrong. Great online community!
I am new to PalFish and I had a great time on boarding! This app is so interactive and has a great community! You can teach your own classes and even get paid for talk time! The app is easy to use and there is a wide amount of information and resources available! Improvement
Just like teachers, there is always room for improvement; leniency with lateness and fines, more trials and classes for teachers before hiring new teachers. PalFish App
The app itself opens the door to those exploring new possibilities. Although, once inside, I had some difficulties manoeuvring through the process of actually tutoring. Since I may technologically challenged it was a bit tricky so trial and error was the call often needed. Kids Course Teachers needed
Had a hard time making money in the free talk section but making over $25/hr (with bonuses) as a kids course teacher! You can choose to do one or do both. Amazed!
I’ve only worked two days and have made a great amount for just starting out.
The negative things I’ve seen are simply not applicable for those who are dead serious about making a living teaching on line.
You can easily block the creepiest who seem to imply dating only, and the work IS there for people who want it.
It was fairly easy for me to get accepted as I am a preferred native speaker and I also have years of experience teaching young people.
I proved my abilities in the mock teaching class and clarified all in the follow up and interview.
I don’t involve myself in big teaching groups as that’s where most of the negative attitudes are.
You can post moments, do live streams and podcasts to market yourself. It’s hard work, but you get people by doing that and giving quality to your official sessions.
You can also create groups and your own sessions to sell as well as have chats with students and get paid.
You get out of it what you put into PalFish. I have created a life of freedom for myself! The only downside is the time difference, but to me it’s worth doing this as opposed to a 9-5 job that you hate.
If you are not disciplined and just expect to show up and get paid when you log on and have people come to you, without putting in effort, then this would not be for you. If you can, however see and embrace opportunities and to travel to combine work and play from anywhere in the world...PalFish could Definitely be for you.Show less1Jenn71
Awful
I began using this application to teach English to Chinese students. It quickly became evident that the difference in time zones would make teaching very difficult. I asked the team at PalFish to assist me in removing my account. They were extremely unhelpful. In fact, once you have an account there is no way to delete it. While you can modify some information, your account simply remains.
It’s also of note that the application itself is rather juvenile. It’s poorly constructed and it is not user friendly. I would tell anyone considering a tutor position with this company, “Stay Away!”Show lessHusker2001

I started my TEFL classes online a couple months ago and was going to move to China to tutor with my wife, but that didn't happen. So, we decided to tutor online. My wife found PalFish! I started an account recently and I am very impressed with it!WebdogNOM
Fun but know what to expect
This app is a lot of fun, and you absolutely can make money if you put the time in, but it won't be at a rate competitive with typical jobs or even other tutoring jobs. There are strict rules, but they're easy to remember--avoid controversial topics, and don't share social media information. I personally don't mind the pay hit because I see it as a compromise for being able to work from home on my own schedule, whenever I have spare time. The good and the bad
After 3 months I've made 0.90 cents. When trying to start your own classes, they barely get approved. If your phone is on silent and someone calls, it still rings and bypasses your silent mode. When you do a class, it's pretty interesting to hear the comments and questions of the Chinese students, who by the way are mainly adults. But, you may easily get banned like many, if your call gets monitored and you answer political questions. I've already caught a lot of sexuality in the forum. So, I also take it, this is some how being used as a dating app more than a make money and teach. Don't have a problem with it as everyone are adults posting on the forums. But, I guess it beats paying a dating service, as here you get payed when contacted and plenty of girls are constantly posting with their accounts clearly stating they want to meet only English speaking men. And guys only want to meet English women. Over all, not to bad, but, you won't make much money. Perhaps you'll make enough to buy a candy bar after a few months of use. Your better of getting a real online teaching job based out of the US, CA or U.K. That way you have an actual class with already assigned students and a guaranteed paycheck that provides an actual living.Show lessTheTruthReview
