  • Decent app

I thought this app was glitchy at first but changed my opinion later because i just was struggling with tablet related things. Only issue I have is occasional glitches but there barely is any unless you have gifs on your board
  • Fix this app

This is the most glitchy and unusable app I’ve ever had. I was trying to make a board for therapy and if I even briefly type a bit too fast it crashes and then I have to do everything all over again. I would not recommend this app until they fix it.
  • Confusing

The system is very frustrating to figure out to use with my client. It doesn’t upload boards, allow my student to stay on a page without accessing the edit page, and I don’t get questions answered.
  • Trial Run

Doing a trial run. We’ve been doing this not even 5 hours and the app has frozen multiple times. Won’t save. Multiple errors. No way this is worth $250!
  • Too fast

The speech is way to fast, even to the point that it is hard to know what it has said. That being said , the app itself is easy to use. This won’t be the app that I will be using for my son due to the fast speech and the inability to model speech.
  • Love this app

We needed an AAC program that would work on the kindle fire. We love coughdrop and use it on iPhone, android phone, and kindle fire. This program provides a free two month trial but we upgraded early to get access to child voices 🥰
  • Too Fast & No Enunciation

The app is promising; however, I wish there was a way to slow down the speech. It is said so fast it is not adequate for modeling or usage to young nonverbal children.
  • Great communication app!

The model of having a free communication app with subscriptions for a user rather than per device is the best! I am an elementary special education teacher for students with autism. I have been using this app with my classroom this year with 7 students who have limited or no verbal communication. I am thrilled with having this tool to use and love how easily I can make updates for my students on my device (computer, phone, or iPad) and it updates on their device. My favorite part is that all of our support staff and myself can have the app on our own devices so we can model, practice, and find words without needing to take the device from the student. The developers have been very helpful when I need help.
I have been recommending it to all of our staff!

  • Great for using across devices

I used this with my 5 year old who is nonverbal on an iPad mini 4. Overall, it is nice to have across devices should she need a back up. It’s also great for modeling and having her team at school and I sync up easily. It’s pretty user friendly and their customer support is amazing. The app itself sometimes freezes or lags way behind which causes frustration.

  • A good robust AAC system

CoughDrop is a good robust AAC system with the ability to easily print out your pages so that you have a low tech backup.
