Great app that makes managing your music very easy

Still crashes from time to time, but otherwise - great app to catalog and manage your music. Funny thing is that I had the same idea of an app 25 years ago and even started writing it on Oracle Forms, but of course it was very clunky then and didn’t have any of the great features you guys have 😁

Can’t stop crashing!

Avoid

App doesn't work on iOS

Just uploads the app and I can't input any it collection. Waste of time

Disconnected

Why is this clown application disconnecting me again and again and again.

Janky af

This used to be a good app to support the desktop version to quickly reference your collection but the last few updates have made it so janky and quite frustrating.
Searching within your own collection can be really frustrating - you type in a word of an artist or label and it either doesn’t show or only one item will. Sometimes nothing even though you know it’s there. Another thing I’ve come across is sometimes only a few releases of a labels catalogue are shown. Videos are duplicated - not on the desktop so you know somethings not working. Also what happened to the auto play with the videos? You used to be able to listen through to whole releases just from playing the first vid now you have to double tap on the next video each time.
Please fix these bugs and bring back the joy of using your app.
Cheers. T

Response from developer

Hi there, sorry to hear you are unable to search. We haven't received any other reports about this but we noticed that you are not using the last version, there is a version 2.1.4 that should be available if not now in the next couple of days. Please try download this version and, if you still have this issue, please let us know at app@discogs.com with your phone and OS information as well as a screenshot of the issue.

Discogs great except for selling

I have been a Discogs member for many years and have always tried to use it to keep inventory and recently became a seller. Customer wrote a review that he told me he did not mean to say the things he said, and because I was out of town I could not ship it within two days and get back to him at a decent time. I shipped it two days later, but did not get back to him and he said that I did not get back to him at a decent amount of time and has since then not allowed me to sell. Because of this, I am unable to sell and as soon as another platform becomes available, I will be leaving Discogs.
My side of the story was not even asked, so they took one bad review and cut me off from selling on Discogs, which is unacceptable without asking me first about what happened. I cannot wait for a new platform to come out as Discogs has been losing money as I have sold a lot of albums on eBay this past year and a half. Just a suggestion that you will ask your Discogs people their side of the story before you cut them off. As I have not been able to get it to work ever since. eBay loves the money I have made them by the way.

Works (if it decides to open)

Good for viewing collections and physical discographies IF the app even works. Half the time it won’t open and the other half leads me to error messages at every click. Also doesn’t show half the stuff from artists for some reason. Yes, this item DOES exist because I own it!! no the artist didn’t just make it up, it’s been around for 10 years so where’s the listing for it? Discogs MIGHT tell you, maybe if you’re sitting atop the right mountain holding exactly 3 queen of spades cards. Or whatever else it uses to decide if you can view the page you’re trying to click on.

Poor app with even poorer support!

I would give this app zero stars if I could. The app is plagued with performance issues—90% of the time it’s either painfully slow or throws an error when trying to open an artist or album.

Additionally, there are serious security concerns. I was once hacked, and the hacker gained access to all my card information. On three separate occasions, they attempted to withdraw money from my account. Fortunately, my bank flagged these transactions as suspicious and contacted me for verification. When I confirmed that it wasn’t me, they blocked my card, issued a new one, and advised me not to use the app until its security issues were resolved. Despite raising this concern with the support team, I received no response.

Customer service is shockingly unprofessional. They either ignore requests for help or respond long after the issue is irrelevant.

While the concept behind the app is promising, the execution is far below even basic standards. This is far from being a reliable app, let alone a good one.

Horrible Customer Support

One day when I tried to log into my account, I would get a screen that repeatedly said “login failed”. I have changed my password numerous times as well as contacted customer service numerous times every time customer service would respond to my issue they would give me the same list of things I need to do to fix it. I have done what they’ve told me to do 1 million times over and the problem has not changed I still have no way to get into my account. I submitted another help request that they have not responded to and it’s been over a month. I have been logged out of my account for a total of eight months now. I have absolutely no way of getting in in customer service has done nothing helpful. I loved the app when I was able to use it, but the fact that customer service had not been any help to me whatsoever is absolutely insane.
