Best Reddit app ever

All time best

Response from developer

That's great to hear and thanks for the feedback! 1. This is currently possible by tapping the active count (it'll flip to subscriber count). 2. Some users reported this on /r/readder but we were unable to reproduce it. It would be great if you could join /r/readder and post more info if you have it. A workaround for this issue is to remove the account and add it back again.

Best iOS reddit client I've found.

Incredible customization options leads to a near perfect experience. I've tried (and bought) 3-4 other reddit apps and uninstalled them all after using this one for a few weeks.

Rearrange the top pane.

I love this app. It's essentially alien blue 2.0. The only feature I would like to see in this is the top Menu bar and 3 for menu shown at the top of the screen to be moved at the bottom of the screen. Thereby leaving the top screen bar only with front page. For added benefit the top right and left corners can be used as shortcuts for night mode/change account.

But we definitely do need a lot of the settings actions at the bottom of the screen with a separate bar.

Love the app though.

Feels like Alien Blue 2.0

It looks like Alien Blue with great new features. Changing subreddits and managing favorites is intuitive and a pleasure to use. One option I would prefer is when tapping a comment, mini icons for upvote, save, etc should appear below the comment like Alien Blue. Much faster and more visibly appealing than a whole menu pop up after long pressing a comment or pressing the option corner of the comment for actions.

Excellent replacement for Alien Blue

As someone who browses Reddit from my iPhone about 95% of the time, a well designed client is very important to me. Alien Blue was previously the best iOS Reddit client on offer, but after no updates since the new official app has been released, it has become stale and full of bugs since the introduction of iOS 11.

At first glance, Readder does not appear to be all that different than any other Reddit client. However, the number one reason I like it so much is the level of customization available. You can configure swipe comment collapsing to work exactly like Alien Blue does, which the official Reddit app still does not do 100% correctly. Having good eyesight, I appreciate the ability to shrink font size down to make each page more information dense, so I don’t have to scroll as much. The “card” layout Reddit is pushing these days is ridiculous, especially on a larger plus sized iPhone. Such a waste of space.

I’ve only just begun to work through all of the features available, but first impressions are everything, and I was thoroughly impressed in this case.

Please don’t become terrible

A lot of Reddit apps start amazing then either try too hard or development stops. Please don’t be one of those.

Must purchase in order to log in: DELETE app

Looks like a nice app but SUPER negative first impression from forcing an in-app purchase just to log in with my reddit user id. Never seen an app attempt something this low before, so it’s an instant delete after I leave this negative review to warn others of this shady developer.

By the way, dev, I would happily have paid to get rid of ads had I been able to log in. Hopefully you’ll rethink this incredibly stupid move.

Imgur isn't loading?

Looks like any imgur link won't load in this app - opening via the safari button won't work either, but using reddit on separate apps or on safari does work - licensing issue?

Very customizeable

Excellent app, the best for using Reddit

Lags and crashes

The latest update still doesn't address the laggy scrolling (I'm using the latest iPad Pro and iPhone 7 plus); it also crashes very often.

Thanks for the feedback! This is an area that's constantly being worked on. It would be great if you can join us on /r/readder to provide more details. New versions occasionally have a few quirks, and fix versions are released often.
