  • Unusable

Tried 3 different emails. Won’t allow a gmail.com email. Garbage app.
  • Nice Idea But Poor Execution

It seems to only look for people near you, which seems irrelevant for this app. Additionally, it shows you where the translators are and I’m guessing where I am at my house. I’m not sure why that is relevant and it’s a bit creepy. Why would the person helping me translate to my cleaning person need to know that I live 5 blocks from them. Also, shouldn’t there be hundreds of people to help translate if it searched world wide? I tried several times but after waiting awhile it just said no one available.

  • Not honest

There is a stepes operation manager called “ Judith “ she is a thief and stolen about $ 3,500 from my account and said to me oh your profile doesn’t seem approved and we can’t approve you and you will be blocked and you will not be able to withdraw your money and she taken it!!

been Complaining over a year ago and my money gone!!!!

    You are not honest.

  • Worst service

As a translator, I was asked to provide all sorts of documents to prove my identity and credentials, which I happily did. Waited a few days for them to review it all, and it seemed like I was in, except I wasn’t. Never been able to take on a task, and every time I complained, they said they’d look into it. I think me trying to hold them accountable didn’t sit well with them. After I asked for an update again, I get an email saying “oh we didn’t like your profile so we’re cutting you off from the platform”. No actual reason provided. Absolute arbitrary. These guys are absolute amateurs (actually, that’s too good a description for them), and I wanted this known. Carry on rigging your platform, I hope it all fails miserably sooner than you think.

  • Not enough assignments, won’t let you pick

I love their concept! It’s a decent platform for translators to earn money on the side. It’s not going to make you rich, but you will have some pocket money for your spendings.

The market is very competitive since there are not always paid assignments available (first come, first served deal) and even then they won’t let you take an assignment because of lack of experience even though having more experience than needed.

  • Shaggy

The app rejected my FREE translation offer. A brief “error” message explained that the profile needs to have a photo, address and something else. Looks like data base builder to me.
  • Good application

    What a great app!
  • It just keeps getting better!

Big Stepes for global communications. Can't wait when the app reaches one million translators.
  • Pretty efficient

I find this app more reliable than machine generated translation ones. It's definitely not always on point but at least you know you have the best option available.
  • First Impression

I am a professional translator. I got this email promoting Stepes so I was curious and downloaded it. I signed in as a translator and tried it out. All the job requests in my language pair were "free" jobs; meaning, people wants to get some translations but don't want to pay for them. If Stepes is serious about attracting qualified translators, there's gotta be no "free" jobs. How will Stepes manage to receive and and make payments correctly? It doesn't say anything about this. Okay, maybe it's in a trial period-- the idea is good and all--but make payments simple and pls get rid of free job postings.
