Great Concept.... but

These look great, but they fail to update frequently enough. Could be an Apple thing but I'm forever re-opening Facer to get things to display.

Waste of time

A lot of beautiful & really cool watch faces in this app, but none of them work on my iPhone 15 running iOS 18. One worked for 2 days & then stopped counting steps & running altogether. NOTHING else runs and turns out to be just a graphic of the face, with only the time live. On & on… the FAQs? Latest is 2 years old. Help & instructions? 3-4 years old. Email? They don’t respond. User comments asking for face updates? No response. Cost of a yearly subscription? $40. I’m waiting for an Apple refund. LEARN from my bad experience!

ADDENDUM: since my initial review, there has been an update & I was able to install a watch face to my satisfaction that works. There are still an annoyance or two, but I’m satisfied & I really like what I installed.

4 times an hour

Complications (heart rate, weather & steps) for watch faces never work, even with premium.
From what I’ve read online, these complications can only be updated every 15 mins on a third party app as opposed to ‘on the fly’ with native Apple faces.

Seemingly using AI images

I paid for this due to the lack of a free trial as it prompted for payment right after I opened the app, I haven’t used a single face since I bought it months ago due to most of them just not looking optimised or quite right.
I opened the app now some months later to have a look at new options and there is now quite a few faces that appear to be AI generated images.
I feel disgusted to have paid a company that is happy using AI in this way.

Dosent support Huawei

My watch the (GT 4) has been out for a hole year and I have asked more then once on the facer website to get the option to have watch faces on my watch. Sadly there is only three older Huawei watch opiotns. This is super disappointing and you need to sort this. Happy to change the review once I have the ability to use this app on my watch

Price doubles when I try to get premium

Not a fan of the subscription model but the initial advertised prices (3.99/month and 19.99/year) seem fair BUT when I click either option the price suddenly doubles ($3.99 is suddenly $6.49 and $19.99 is $52.99)!

Even factoring in taxes and exchange rates the price hike doesn’t make sense and really seems like a bait and switch or that they’re trying to trick people who aren’t paying attention when buying

The faces I like and want to have on my watch do not work. Or they are not available for download on my watch. Waste of money and my time.

Absolute rubbish.

How do you use it? No instructions, no help (except - here’s one we did earlier, now reverse engineer it). We’re not all spotty, tekkie nerds sat in our mothers basement. Where do you send/save to? Nothing works. Can’t save or send and what’s the blue thing doing in the bottom right-hand corner? Spent over 2 hours trying to use this (put a simple picture in the background) and finally gave up. Thank goodness I didn’t spend any money on it.

Used to have more free options

I haven’t worn my watch in a while. But have started again and thought I’d refresh my screen faces.
But.
Will delete. I used to be able to get free options or pay for the ones I like. Now it’s a subscription.
I’m out.

Scam

Says it’s free but the first thing that comes up after opening the app is it asking for you to pay for premium and you only get about 10 free “faces” that all look bad and the rest you have to pay a subscription, scam
