Finicky not challenging
I prefer a game where the levels are difficult to SOLVE because they are intelligent and challenging rather than difficult to execute because the controls are touchy / sensitive / unrefined. This game has proven to be the latter. The levels are simple to solve but execution is frustrating because the circular control of most gears is quite jumpy.
It has promise but I can't play for 10 min straight because of the poor interaction. (iPad Air 2).

Challenging and superb!
So yes, it is based on Monument Valley but so what. The added complications and actual original bits make this as good if not better. That last level though, grrrr. Took me hours to work that one out. Excellent puzzle game!
Good puzzles, bit unfocused
Good stuff:
Visual style is great and very reminiscent of Monument Valley... though not as varied. It does its own thing well, however.
Puzzles are nicely designed and aren't immediately obvious. The fact that you can die makes timing important: something Monument Valley didn't have.
Meh stuff:
Toys as bosses? I get that it's trying to be like clockwork or mechanical, but it clashes with the rest of the style.
Upgrades? What for? Seems like it was tacked on at the last minute. Just let us enjoy the game for what it is: a series of interesting 3D puzzles.
Twitter and Facebook icons plus logins? Why?
This game seems confused about what it wants to be. It would be nice if it were more focused. It's got hints of cohesive, harmonious design but it's not quite there.
In the end the visuals are nice but the game's vision is not as strong as Monument Valley's. If you're okay with that, the puzzles are great to experience.

Control issues
On iphone 6s, I tap and hold to stop the robot, but then he starts walking slowly on his own. I press harder (3d touch) and he stops, then walks again. Frustrating!
Dream Machine
I'm torn between giving this game five stars (because it is VERY good), or giving it one star (because it REALLY copies Monument Valley by ustwo). I will give three stars.
Monument Valley redux++++++
Very early days into this game but I'm hooked already. Stunning graphics and excellent puzzles. If you liked Monument Valley you'll absolutely adore this.
Very emersive
Loved it, although didn't take too long to complete. Last level was a challenge. Hope more levels get released in the future.
Great until it sucked.
I loved this game until I got stuck on chapter 4 (#17!) Awesome puzzles... I hope the glitch is fixed so I can keep going.
Great puzzle game
Similar to MonumentValley, but has many of its own unique gameplay elements. Highly recommended!
I prefer it to Monument Valley
This game more than draws inspiration from Monument Valley which although beautiful, lacked any real challenge. Dream Machine certainly has the looks but unlike its predecessor proves actually challenging too. No lazy rip-off this but rather a vast improvement! Well done!
