Just a thought
The graphics and aesthetic would be infinitely better if there was slight blur over everything. Would also help if the everything in view didn't have a line of text beside it.
Needs work
I love this game so far but it get unbearably frustrating. There is no controls selection so I can't figure out how to shoot secondary weapons. The joystick keeps getting stuck in a certain direction. Besides these annoying problems this game is great.
Don't Compare with GoF2 HD!!
First off - I would advise that you DO NOT make the mistake and compare this game with GoF2, GoF2 is probably the best game available on ios so anything else is obviously going to come up short in comparison.
This game is okay so far, there are good points and there are bad points. For example the star map is horrendous, that is being kind about it, it looks like it has been half finished before launching the game. I struggle to make out where I need to go and where I actually am. A little more time and care into things such as this would make the game so much better. Why release a game before it is completely ready? The dogfights are quite good, I have a controller and this works really well with the game. Although pirates seem to be constantly spawning in, take a leaf from GoF and let the player clear the area and set about mining etc in peace. The mining on SW is again quite fun, although why can't you position your ship and make it come to a complete halt to allow you to fire your lasers at the asteriod? Upgrades are also quite good fun as well, lots of aspects to upgrade and improve upon.
So other than the fact that some areas and aspects of the game look a bit rushed, again being kind, I am actually enjoying this game. It would be nice to see some improvements made in any updates that are made. Star Map especially.

Irrationally difficult
It would be nice if it was possible to get past the fourth mission? How can you expect someone to escort a tiny little ship that can hardly take a scratch against three ships that split up. When I pay five dollars for a game, I expect it to be well thought out.
Seriously? Must there be pirates in every system?
I am trying to like this. At first it was great. Yes, I also experienced problems with docking until I figured it out. But now, at level nine, with a new and upgraded ship, I am being jumped by pirates everywhere I go. I can fight off 2 or 3 at a time, but they damage my hull. And then a new wave of pirates jumps up right on top of me before I can get the station or jump point. It's ridiculous. Can't there just be one wave of pirates and then there done when you are just passing through? Why does there have to be wave after wave after wave? For one thing, logically I would be detoxing them faster than they could be rebuilt.

Total krap
Worst £3.99 I ever spent. Yeah the graphics are good, but the getting around takes so long I can't escort anything because if pirates attack I get held behind dealing with them and can't catch up in time.
How the mighty have fallen.
After the disappointment of exiles, I had really low expectations of this game when I noticed crescent moon had something to do with it. But even then I was surprised that even by the second mission I couldn't continue. I'm not going to do this again. I want a refund.

My favorite game right now
Update- couple of issues... I chose the fighter path, but the two skills you get at 5/10 are maxed out on level 9. It says upgrade to 10 with 25k, and I have way more than enough, so why does it say that the skills are maxed? Also, if I have a smugglers locker installed, why aren't contraband items picked up automatically? Also, missiles run out at the shops, and no refills forever! Got the best heavy lasers in the game, but you can only buy 3? So I have to use a less powerful gun because I bought the last 3 in the known universe? Some of the dialogue really needs some work. It's called proofreading. When the voice actors aren't even saying what the words say, and what's said makes no sense at all, time for a good proofreader. I still love this game. The mechanics of the fighting and traveling really make up for the shortcomings. PLEASE UPDATE! Thanks for the hard work!!!
Don't know why people just can't try and figure things out. The targeting and bases work fine. You just have to touch them to select them. Yes, you can sell old equipment and it gives you what you paid for it, so you never lose money. Good story line. The real gem here is the combat system. I think it clearly beats GOF 2. Definitely worth the money.
