Recommendation to Developer
The application works flawless and it is a great tool for planning your retirement as a federal employee. I would like to recommend one change however. I think you should modify the TSP calculation to allow a rate of return that can be modified during retirement. So, have one rate of return during employment and then a second option to adjust it during retirement. Many employees tend to invest more aggressively while employed and then may make more conservative moves in their tsp during retirement. For instance, it would be nice to forecast a 8% return while employed and then a hypothetical 3% during retirement years. It would provide a more accurate prediction at withdrawing from the TSP during retirement.Show lesstegsr94

This is the best FERS retirement calculator I’ve used and it has been very helpful in providing a comprehensive view of my finances helping to plan for my retirement. The ability to try different scenarios, pull in other funding sources and see a graph of how those resources will be used for the rest of you life is fantastic.
My wishlist of future improvements:
Export details to a spreadsheet.
Allow TSP fund withdrawal amounts to change over time.

Great tool, helps visualize possible retirement income. Only 2 things I would add, a way to export the data to a spreadsheet or document and a way to change TSP earnings % in retirement years as I expect to be more conservative in those years.KDC72
Don’t depend on your HRO
This app provided me the estimate I asked for from my HRO back in June and September 2017. I have not received anything from them! This app provides the tool to build your own estimation, I used all the source documents the HRO specialist had available to them and in 30 minutes got my answer.267CBCS

Originally wouldn’t let me enter my service comp date. All but the year 2018 were grayed out, so I reported it as a bug. Developers replied ASAP to let me know that, with iPads and iPhones, you may need to select the year first. Worked like a charm! This retirement calculator is easy to use. I spring for the extra features because I have a lot of time to use them, and I know this will support further development of this essential tool for the modern federal employee.
