We arrive to the counter for baggage drop and checkin and the attendant mentioned that we had to pay 15 euros per passenger for check in!?
We tried to tell that them that we could do this quickly through the app but the attendant dismissed us quickly without properly listening to us and obligating us to stand at the end of the line once again.
We also tried to articulate that the reason we hadn’t checked in via the app earlier was because we had received an email by Eurowings mentioning that we should check in our hand luggage free of charge. The email expressed that the check in process could only happen at the counter. We found this slightly confusing and wanted to clarify some questions hence why we hadn’t checked in.
The person in charge of the counter was deeply disrespectful and dismissive, not clarifying any of our questions nor allowing us time to check quickly via the app. The attendant also interrupted and laughed at us while not being able to communicate properly.
The app should mention a charge for not checking in prior will be demanded.
Also, train your staff better in customer service. People should not be disrespected or mocked when accessing a service!!
