  • Spotty Functionality (iPhone11 vs other devices)

I have used this app to transfer photo files across devices without losing resolution. It has always worked well until now.
I updated the app but on my iPhone11 (iOS13) it says iUSB is not connected and lists V2.3.25 as the version
in the settings tab of the app.
It is still working with my other devices which are iOS13 and V2.3.24
I’d give a higher rating if it worked on all devices.

  • Bugs

After some recent updates this app hasn’t been recording previous backup information, and when I backup new photos in my phone it double-writes the previous photos already backuped with the new ones?? It wasnt with the previous version,And I think you should fix it quick👍
  • No thumbnails, pixelated photos

Don’t get this app or devices associated with it. My whole purpose for getting this was to transfer RAW photos from my camera onto my phone. It seems like the app copies the photos at first, (even though there’s no thumbnail) but when I copied the pictures onto my phone they were so pixelated I couldn’t even tell what the pictures were anymore. It wasn’t a problem with my phone rendering the pictures, it was just the app being stupid. Will be returning the SD card reader.

  • The app crashes during transfer

The app keeps crashing when trying to transfer files from usb to camera roll, I even restarted the iPad but that didn’t fix it. I then moved the files from the usb to the app. These are video files from GoPro which I want to edit in iMovie. But when I try to transfer them to the camera roll, it crashes again. Unfortunately there’s no way for iMovie to see the app and it’s files so I can’t import them that way either. 😡

  • Good idea, does not work

I thought this app and reader would be a good alternative to using the official Apple version. I was wrong and should have stuck with the tried and true (and expensive) official item. The app shows thumbnails of my files but will not display either the photos or videos. I have tried everything I can think of, but I think the reader and app are just junk. Don’t waste your money or time.

  • App does not support copying DNG (raw) photos to camera roll!

I hope that the developer can address this significant limitation!!!

The work around is to copy DNG files to Lightroom which is good for me since I use it but the LIMITATION is that only a single file can be copied at a time which is totally inefficient

The best solution for the general user base would be to support copying multiple DNGs to the camera roll. Or if that’s not possible (which it is btw) how about adding the ability to select multiple DNG files and copy them to Lightroom at one time.

  • Off-phone storage is cool but music feature isn't

I love being able to store files off of the phone but my main interest was to keep my music on a SD card and listen to it. Technically I can but the app doesn't read metadata, can't save, or use, playlists, makes me scroll through hundreds of artist folders but when I get there I'm only able to play the contents of one folder. It defeats the purpose of storing music on an external disk.

  • Cannot post to Instagram anymore, nor open videos in Camera Roll

I was able to post videos I made on the computer to Instagram through this app up until today. I have a business to run and it is disappointing that this app fails to do something it has had no problem doing before. If anyone can help me find a way to upload a video from my computer to Instagram, let me know. Otherwise this app gets 1 Star.

  • App doesn’t recognize the geekgo device

Plug it into my iPhone, and nothing. Go to the app, click on the usb (bottom left) and the screen with “iUSB is not connected” is all I get. So I can’t transfer files to or from my phone with this. Which means it’s nothing but a flash drive converter for my computer. Didn’t need one. Useless.

Tried plugging/unplugging, closing/reopening app, nothing to do here. It simply doesn’t acknowledge the device is plugged in to the phone. Don’t buy the device, skip the app too of course. They need better programmers.

  • Confusing naming

I tried to transfer photos and short videos from my microSD card into my iPhone Camera Roll. I firstly followed the instruction Edit->Select Files->Copy->Select Destination, but I could only see app and iUSB these two options. Then, I tried to uninstall and reinstall it, and gave the permission again, but still couldn’t see my Camera Roll option in the Destination part. I was so upset about that.
SOLUTION: when you select your file, tap ACTION (on the left bottom) instead of Copy/Move, then you can choose CAMERA ROLL to save your file. Hope this could be helpful!
