Could be so much better
Firstly latency is a problem as itโs slow enough to be noticeable. Secondly there is no option to upload your own samples. Latency settings would be really helpful to gain control of your setup. Some fx would be welcome.
Crashes easily
I just updated the app and iOS software. The app is functional again (before the update it didnโt work on iOS 11 at all), but it crashes regularly. Repeated fast triggers seem to crash the app. I donโt know why. But I donโt think Iโll use it live (which is the reason I bought it) because itโs just not stable enough.

Good Working Product
As I get older, I'm always looking for ways to lighten my gear load at gigs. ezTrigger offers a good solution to those who wish to only trigger their kick without carrying extra, bigger equipment. I ordered an iRig knock-off from eBay and installed ezTrigger on my iPhone 6 running IOs 9.3.5. I briefly tested this setup at home using a Sonor Martini 14" kick, a Simmons piezo trigger and a Fender Rumble 40 as a monitor. Everything worked first time and I was able set the sensitivity and tuning with ease. I would recommend this app. However, there are a few "gotchas" that users need to be aware of. First, when I switched into "Airplane" mode for the gig, it rendered the app useless as a single strike would cause the app to jam and repeat at an extremely fast pace. Secondly, after playing a set for 90 minutes, my iPhone battery, which was at 100% when the set started, was almost at 20%. Last, but not least, when the iPhone battery went below 20%, it kicked into "Low Battery" mode which rendered the app useless. In summary, ezTrigger is a good app and I intend to keep using it. But I will carry a iPhone charger with me and plug in the phone when I begin using the app. The "Airplane" mode issue does concern me as I at times get texts and calls during a gig. I'll need to research this item a bit more. One last bit of praise,...I received many comments on how "big" my 14" kick sounded at that gig. I ran ezTrigger into my Fender Rumble 40 (personal monitor) and then from the amp to the soundboard. Worked perfectly. I rated this app as a "4" due to the issues I ran into.

Good!
This app has been working great for me, been playing it out a lot. I saw a previous review about it only able to handle slow speeds. I play blast beats and have had no issues. You just have to really mess around with the gain and sensitivity to find your sweet spot.
Works ok for SLOW tempos
This app triggers decently for tempos BELOW 200 bpm. As a metal drummer, I would think this app would be the cheapest and run for your money as it can get when it comes to kick drum triggering. Unfortunately after spending $40 on the irig + 10 for the app, I come to find the bass drum notes cutting in and out for anything played above 200 bpm. Even after adjusting the gain/ sensitivity/ gate (ms) it just cant keep up. If you set the gate too low (10ms) it double triggers like crazy. I had high hopes for this app, but sadly disappointed with its performance. Hopefully the next version will have improved performance.

Finally!
I was excited when I heard that someone finally came up with an app like this! I've been wanting to play around with triggers for a while but didn't want to spend all of that money on a module and then end up not using i very much. And the app works great! Lots of fun sounds to play around with. Really digging the sub drop too.

Great innovation
This app is very helpful. I've been looking for a software solution for triggering but couldn't find one until this app. This saves me almost $150 and seems like a better solution. It's pretty easy to setup. The samples are high quality and it worked with my gear. Definitely watch the tutorials. Great app overall!

Works beautifully
Wow I followed the tutorial and it worked like a charm
Cost effective and works great
Much cheaper than buying a drum module and has been working great so far. Haven't used it yet for a live show, but working during practice
it works
This app is everything you need to trigger a single bass drum. Even if you had to buy a good trigger like the Roland kick trigger and a iRig2 it would still cost you only half the price of a whole trigger system set up. Once you find your sweet spot you'll see just how awesome this product makes your bass drum sound.
