  • Hopeful, but disappointed

I was really excited when I first found this app, as I have several books to read for classes and work. I debated over spending $5.99 to add multiple books (because was it really worth it??) but I decided to purchase. I was quickly disappointed when I found how poor the “planing” options were. Although this app can predict how quickly you might be able to finish a book, that’s about all it can do. My hope was to be able to set goals for multiple due dates for multiple books. I have several to read for classes (where I read 2 books per month), a few for work (where we read an assigned portion for discussion every 2 weeks), and then books I’m reading for pleasure. This app will not help me keep on track with the 6 books I’m reading to make sure I finish each book or section on time. Super disappointed and I wish I could get my money back.

Hello, kbearnav2108. I'm sorry to hear that. If you select the "You Could Finish by" row in a book's page, that allows you to set a due date which will appear in the Plan tab. You can also select on which days of the week you want to read each book and that goal will also show in the calendar. You'll also have the option to set a reminder, although I'm workin on improving that feature. If this doesn't cover your expectations, please let me know how the app could be improved. It takes me a while, but I'm always working on making it better. :)
  • One small complaint

I wish the app would pause instead of zeroing out the time when a phone call comes in or when I open another app to look up a word. I finished reading a long article and was surprised to find that it had not recorded my time even though I had started the timer. 🥺
  • Simple, helpful, and looks great!

After a couple weeks of using Leio, I’ve come to really enjoy the app. I very much like the simplistic and modern design. It also gives a lot of information that I just like to keep track of, but it doesn’t clutter the screen with too much nonsense. Keeping track of my reading progress and times actually really helps me motivate myself to maintain persistent reading patterns.

There are two slight frustrations with the app, though.
    1) There seems to be no automatic syncing feature. It would be convenient to have my data automatically synced to both my iPad and iPhone so I can use either device when I want to. But as of now, it seems that you have to go through a complicated data transfer every time you want to update data across devices—so it’s not practical at all to use multiple devices with the app
    2) Probably the worse downside: Whenever I manually enter a book into my reading list, it is very difficult to import a cover image correctly. Normal-sized pictures get turned sideways and stretched. To get a decent-looking cover image, I have to try many different forms of cropping, and even still it gets positioned weirdly. This is something I can’t Imagine being difficult to fix.

But overall it’s a great app and I will continue using it!

Thank you for your feedback! I'm already testing a new version of the app that syncs the data automatically. Contact me at daniel@leio.co if you're interested in beta testing. And improvements to the cover images are also on the way. :)
  • Love this!

I’m in law school, so pleasure reading has fallen by the wayside. I made it a point to make time to read for fun more often this semester, and when I decided to tackle a 1258 page book, I thought a tracker would be nice to keep me going and stumbled upon this app. I love that it tracks statistics and can project when I’ll finish. It’s so motivating and makes finding time to read like a game with myself. So many wonderful features in this app even without the paid subscription. I only wish it did notifications to remind me to read my scheduled pages for the day.

Thank you, that means a lot! If you check the "You Could Finish by" section and pick the days of the week when you want to read, you'll see an option to get reminders. They're vary basic for now, though. Leio will remind you on the selected days at the time when you read most often. I plan on adding better reminder options when I have the time. :)
  • Great reading tracker

I’ve been using this and Bookly to keep track of reading and so far I like this better. It’s way more affordable (bookly is $20 a year) and it works just as well. Bookly is a little more aesthetically pleasing but this works fine. The tracking is nice and helps motivate me to read more.

The only thing I love that Bookly has and this doesn’t is a summary page after the book is completed. I would love to be able to see my time read, reading speed ect summarized on a single page. Definitely would be awesome for social medial purposes (ie bookstagram) to have this feature

  • Helps so much!

I have an international trip coming up that I’m trying to cram reading/learning in for (on top of normal college work), and Leio has been super helpful for me as I try to pace myself/figure out what my pace should be to finish everything in time. Two things I wish Leio had: 1. A reminder feature that would remind me to read at a set time, 2. A way to calculate the pace to finish reading multiple books by a set date. I don’t like to read more than one book at a time usually, but I still want to be able to calculate when (if I read one book then the other) I would finish all the books.

Thank you for your feedback! Your first suggestion is already high up on my to-do list and I hope to implement it soon. I'll also take the second suggestion into account, but it'll probably take some time until I can get to it, since I'm Leio's sole developer and I work on it on my free time. Kind regards, Daniel
  • Love it so much I’m reviewing again

No matter what I keep coming back to this app. I love the minimalist design, the easy to access statistics, and everything about it. It’s the BEST app I’ve ever paid for, hands down, and the people who have created this app are super helpful and welcoming when it comes to questions or concerns. THANK YOU!

  • A Bookworms Dream App!

I’ve been using this app for over a year now and love it!! I also recently needed help exporting and restoring my data on a new device and the customer service was excellent! Daniel was quick to respond and help me transfer my data to the new device. I would highly recommend this app to all book lovers! Thank you, Daniel!

  • Love but let us upload EPub

As a teacher I would love to have a way to give credit for reading at home . Tracking and sharing their reading would be great feature, but if they aren’t actually reading the book in the app, then it doesn’t provide the accountability I need .
  • Everything you need

The app is everything I need, I love the prediction section and how it tells me when I should expect to finish a book. I use that feature with Things to get daily reminders (I like all of my reminders in one place), I use the expected date from Leio and use it to set how many times I should be reminded.
I love Leio, many thanks for this amazing app.
