Sorry you were disappointed, but we hope you’ll give the app another chance. These drinks do, in fact, use ingredients common to cocktail bars—they simply couldn’t have become modern classics any other way. Moreover, the app is quite sophisticated about helping you match ingredients (viable substitutions) to recipes. What we don’t do is dumb anything down or compromise the accuracy of the recipes. This app is the gold standard, but you do have to meet us partway. There are a tutorial videos on our web site that might be helpful.

Nine recipes contain sweet vermouth, two contain dry. This app is laser-focused on quality, not quantity. This is an amazing collection of the best recipes of the last twenty years, verified with their creators, with correct attributions, and documented with great care. Hopefully, you’ll give the app another shot.
A Classy & Exciting Doorway to Making Great Cocktails!
Googling for a recipe is a lost cause—too much recipe clutter, too many poor quality recipes out there—and that’s when I loosely know what I want to make. With Modern Classics I love that I can easily search for my cocktail craving, scroll through what I can make (based on what I’ve got in), and/or easily see what I need to quickly pop to the store for, if I’m an ingredient or two short.
One request: I would love to see your ultimate classic Old Fashioned recipe! 🙏🏼

There are only ~110 recipe in this app, but that’s the entire point: this is a highly selective collection (and still more than in many books out there). How many did you try? Search by name and ingredient is literally the first item on the menu; and deeper in, the app has the most powerful filter system around. Seems like you bought the app without first understanding what it was, didn’t immediately see what you think you wanted after a cursory glance, and saddled us with a one star review. Nice. Thanks.
Great App
Just make sure you don't need to drive
I've even e-mailed Martin a couple of times and immediately received friendly and helpful responses. I've purchased three of his apps and expect to add another 2 or 3 fairly soon. After using these apps, I don't want to use anything else. I know I'm gushing, but they are honestly that good.
Excellent app, perfect sync service
This particular collection reads like a list of personal favorites and great memories if you've been enjoying the cocktail scene develop over the years. Well worth the price - I will get frequent and happy use out of this (as will many guests to my house)!!
Needs more Content

Selectivity is the entire point of this app. There are just over a 100 recipes, but they are all top notch, and they’re all correct. That’s still more recipes (and better) than many cocktail books out there. Reviewer is mistaken about “most” recipes already being in the PDT app; the number is more like 4 or 5.
