How did they make this so bad?

Staggeringly bad. Why can’t I just put a timer on for when my fan runs? Why are the sensors - even set on “high sensitivity” - so useless? Why can I only “boost” - ie manually turn the fan on - for 15 minutes? Should be simple stuff. For a £120 fan, this is absurd.

App never connects

The app never connects to the App via Bluetooth and just runs continuously on a very slow mode - shower room just never get dry - will swap for a better fan

Works quick and well with new Kinetic Advance MHVR units

I've connected quickly to my unit, there was guidance where to click in the unit to initialize connection.
You can easily increase speed of air circulation in the app from front page.
There is a ton of adjustments available to you unit in the setting to make it fit to your private needs.
I have not tested all options and i was using only my unit Kinetic Advance 2023 mhvr device, but for my situation, as a feedback, app works really well and reasonably intuitive.

Does not connect

I have tried connecting the multi home to an iPhone 13 and IPAD pro with no luck. Customer says that I now have an EU product but was sold to me in the UK so no support from them.

Pretty Useful

No complaints with connecting or the ability change settings. Far better than having to do it on the fan itself. I thought a Bluetooth extractor fan would be a gimmick but I was entirely wrong. The only real improvement I would like to see is to have the ability to have different fan speeds for different circumstances. For instance higher ramp up speed for humidity and a lower ramped up speed for odour sensor.

Poor app with little guidance from Vent-Axia

Be aware that the silent hours function does not work properly with Sentinel Multivent - you cannot program a silent hours period across midnight! Also, there is no guidance from Vent-Axia for this app’s use with Sentinel Multivents! You can get support from their tech. people but this is long winded. A user guide similar to the one available for their Svara product would be so much more helpful!

For Svara fan - expected more control

Like the other reviewer, I also expected more control options over the fan controls.
You get overrun timer and speed control from 80% to 100% when switched on.
Somewhat disappointed. Almost pointless having an app controlled fan really. Just a fancy gimmick.

Only showing timer function in the app

Have had this can correctly installed by a qualified electrician about two weeks ago. It connected to the Vent Axia app ok via bluetooth but the only functions I can get are fan speed and over-ride time. Nothing else like humidity, light sensor etc. am I doing something wrong. Need help before I pack it up end return it.

Working fine in 2023

As others have said, it would seem past issues have been fixed.

Solution for the app here…

The app clearly causes frustration but when you realise the issue it is totally workable (for the fan on my iPhone at least). The solution to the app not connecting to your device after setup is to quit the app either after each use or before each use. The connection seems to either time out or the app freeze when left open. So for example, after using your toilet you may want to put the fan on a boost, you open the app and it freezes or won’t connect to the fan…. Arghhh! When this happens simply quit the app on your iPhone by holding and swiping up from the bottom of your device to see all open apps (may be different in different phones, check google), then swipe up on the app you want to quit to close it. When you reopen the app it will connect and you can adjust settings. Whoop! Hope this helps someone.

Overall the fan functions well, very impressed. Shame the app is a bit frustrating and the quality of the fan body isn’t better, especially at this price point. But hey, how many things have you bought in the past 10 years that actually delivered on both build quality and function.. probably not many.
