Frequent problems
Well, the app is a nice idea. There are many bugs that don’t seem to be fixed and no answers and no help available online. I’ve had to reinstall the app three times when it would not connect via Bluetooth even when the Bluetooth on my phone said it was connected. Also it is said that the battery is not installed even though the lights are on and the bike would work without the app. Developer needs to update this software and provide support for the app.Show lessCobi app
As a new user this app has the worst instructions. You MUST use it consistently in order to remember where they have hidden the commands like how to turn app off. Love the bike hate the instructions.
Yesterday was the worst. I live in the mountains and went on a paved road through a forest. As we get snow, the roads are not always smooth. My phone was attached to the hub and I was trying to use the COBI bike app. I say trying because in a 7 mile ride my phone thought I fell 3 times and had to be reconnected to the app ( but when I did fall did not even know it), so it was not too sensitive. Then on another rough patch the phone came off the holder all together.
This is my 5th Townie/Bosch bike. I have been upgrading as the bikes and batteries have improved. Obviously I have been very happy until now. This COBI app could be okay someday but at the present time, I find it useless.Show lessDeveloper Response
