Doesn't work

Iv tried everything with my hp mouse, cannot make it register. Great theory! Was extremely excited to see this now that my job tracks idle time if we don't touch our mouse for more than a minute. Messed around with the settings for a good hour and the mouse never even flickered at anything I did.

Response from developer

Just discovered reply feature... It works by the light of the screen triggering the photo-transistor, much like a reflection does during movement. Please tell me about your system. I have tested this on several kinds of mice on windows. Does the app start with a moving pattern? Are you placing the mouse on top of the iPhone screen — so the screen is like a mouse pad — see picture in About tab. What system are you using? Is your mouse wireless? Do you have an older mouse to try? Do you have a different iOS device to try? I have tried this on a number of wired mice on windows 10, Dell, Microsoft, Logitech. My experience is older wired mice work better, brighter screen is better. Also there are settings to change the grain of image and some image patterns. Note- some systems lock after a period regardless of mouse movement by hand or otherwise. Please keep trying and let me know if this helps. Remember you can plug a second mouse into most systems and place that mouse on iOS device while using the first mouse—I have been able to do this for years.

Works as advertised

I work from home for a large company and my job is production based. My company now requires all work-at-home employees to be logged in to Microsoft Lync so they can keep tabs on us. Since the production is easy, I meet my requirements early in the day but am forced to be at my desk the rest of the day just to show I am there. This app relieves me of that burden! Thank you! I will update to a 5-star rating after a week of testing, but preliminary tests look positive.
