My older phone no longer supported

I am very unhappy to hear that the ABSA banking app will no longer support my iPhone 7 in future updates. You have a responsibility to protect your customers security and by dropping older iOS support you are breaking our trust.

Many people in South Africa cannot afford newer devices or simply do not want to upgrade to the latest tech when the old tech still works just fine. Please reconsider this potentially dangerous decision.

App update has broken access

My ABSA app on iPad insisted on an update which I did. The app then refused to connect and directed me to a branch. I spent an hour with a consultant in the branch to try and remedy without success. Subsequent attempts also failed. Now find the app on my iPhone is also affected. Very very unhappy.

Very helpful especially when you are not close to a bank, I am able to increase my daily limit , buy airtime or data etc. It is user friendly and convenient . Thank you so much for making our banking services easier .

Transfer issue

I incorrectly organised two transfers from Tony Maple to Rosemary Maple I have not been able to edit them or remove them

Absa Banking app.

I have had a Absa bank account for many years. I live in the UK, and I am unable to log into my account using my identity number as my password. The app says I don’t have an existing account and must open one. It seems that the Absa app does not recognise overseas account holders. Please can you resolve this problem?

Buying electricity on the Absa app

Buying pre-paid electricity in the app used to so easy and convenient, but problems started creeping on the 1st of February 2024. Not sure if I would use that function again. Please get it fixed

Bug with local time

It’s a basic software design principle: the server works on universal time and the end user application on the device works on the local device time. But you have them confused. Your mobile app does not work from 00:00 to 11:00 every day because I am in New Zealand and my time is ahead of yours. Your server thinks I am in the future and blocks my transactions and requests.
You need to fix this glaring, simple bug.

Really basic app

Can’t do anything useful with this POS, which pushes unwanted ABSA reward messages, which I have no interest in whatsoever. I haven’t worked out how to suppress them yet. As a long list of messages and notices which you have to delete one by one, but which however how I try I can’t delete it just ignores the delete comm. I wonder if they test these apps before they push them❓

Intuitive and Easy to Use

Highly intuitive Ux, meets all of my banking needs. Best banking app by far.

For standard App Functionality Great

If you using standard app functions the App works well.

But if there is an issue with the app, there is no way to easily get support. When you call the telephone banking number provided, there is no answer.

The email support is also poor.

There needs to be a chat support with real person on app for when isssue occur when using the app.
