Sufficient, quick response on my App with payment confirmations. This reassures me I am banking with a safe bank that takes my safety and my money seriously!

App doesn’t take international time into consideration
Generally a good app that I use to interact with ABSA but has a software flaw where it gets dates wrong when I use it internationally- suggests date ranges and then reports an error when I use them, as I am using it in a different time zone.
Cash send
I recently tried to do a Cash Send transaction of R4900, which all went out of my account with no issues. When the recipient tried to withdraw the funds, this is not an option at an ATM as the limit is R4000. At no point while I was doing this transaction does it say anything about the ATM limit. What it does say is that the whole amount sent has to be withdrawn at once. How can this be done if there is an ATM withdrawal amount limit? Something which is supposed to make life easier has been very difficult.

Problems with dates and transactions
I have not had the app very long and I think that the problem only occurred since the latest version.
If I try and look at transactions that include the current date, eg last 7 days, I am told that the date is in the future. I do not know if this is because I am in the U.K. and there is currently a two hour difference in time between the two countries.
Even if I try and use a custom date I can’t see any transactions even though I know that there had been a transaction today, the to date shows 15th even though it is only the 14th.

ABSA Bank App
If you live abroad - this app and ABSA is the start to your troubles. They just not interested - “Come in and see us” I’ve heard that just too many times.
Disappointing
I moved to ABSA because my previous bank had downtime issues and I couldn’t access my account but the same thing is happening here - the app keeps coming up with an error and I can’t access my accounts, the call centre has zero indication and no assistance beyond reinstalling the app. If your thinking this is going to make your life easier, prepare to be disappointed.

Ek het n lang sinvolle gesprek met n uiters bekwame en hulpvaardige persoon by ABSA gehad op die 16de September by name Stefan Masser. Ek het aan hom verduidelik dat die Achilleshiel in julle stelsel is dat skelms op my kaart in China koop sonder dat ek versoek word om die transaksie te magtig.
