DoNext for GTD (Legacy) User Reviews

This app has been a foundational segment of the progress of my mental health

id like to thank the creator of do next for making an EXTREMELY simple and clear application for those of us who like to dabble or dive deeply into david allen’s “GTD”. i am self taught in this method, and when that happens i often abandon projects or things that i want to implement in my life. i have periods where i stop using do next, and yet when i am clearing my head and beginning to address my life once again “Donext” is the absolute first thing that is used everytime. and it carries me through. everytime. i have been naturally , not forcefully practicing GTD with Donext for 6months now and i LOVE THIS APP. extremely underrated, clearly. excited to try the updated app.

thank you.

Confusing

I’m so confused by this... maybe I need to read Getting Things Done? It has you create projects but then organizes the sub-tasks by “context” or location rather than the project you created. So I have tasks for the same project showing up on different lists, mixed up with other projects. How is this supposed to clarify your next step? Am I missing something? I’d love an explanation because it sounded like something I could really benefit from.. thanks

Response from developer

You are right, the app shows your next actions by context lists like @home, @office, @waiting for ect.  I plan my bigger projects in a note taking app and only write next actions inside DoNext. DoNext only holds the next steps by context, so you can focus on the actionable tasks at each moment. I hope this helps. Feel free to contact me, if you need further explanation.

Fastest Todo List for Pros

This app is tuned for pro users, shaving off a second here or there to improve the workflow. Writing down any idea is only 1 tap away. No messy dialogs, windows, popups. Super streamlined and reliable, I’ve been using this for years now and can’t imagine anything else. It is faster than the default Notes application!

On my way to Getting Things Done!

Right away I could organize my projects and tasks and clearly see what I need to do next. Having an organized list of actionable tasks will help me get more done in less time, and I won’t worry that I’ve forgotten something.

Fantastic GTD productivity app

This is a excellent app if you want to offload your tasks, reduce brain strain, organise your life, get things done and achieve your goals. Love how it’s so simple, fast and easy to use.
