Long time player here... this game was amazing when it first came out. Then the updates occurred which changed a lot. They took away our dress boosters that we earned which was bull and gave some bs excuses about it. This game has come and gone on my phone several times. I always check to see if there's some improvements. I can't stand how sometimes the puzzles aren't winnable when this is energy based or the fact that we need to clear 24 colors to be able to click the card. Used to be 15. BUT the game some what improved. I LOVE that we can change our dance partner... I was sick of Alonzo... I only usually spend a small amount of money in games to support the developer if I like and am enjoying the product... this game has pist me off over the year but I just had to purchase Gleb!!!! I find myself playing a bit more and more since I purchased him and I don't feel bad about it. Just wish they would balance out the puzzles a bit more. I do love the new Viennese waltz I think I totally misspelled that lol I think it's such a romantic dance and I really enjoy watching it when my couple gets to do it.
It’s not exactly fair to be new to the game and then have to compete against players who have been playing for a year with millions of fans already. It’s only the first week where everyone has a fair chance at winning until you get to week two. You should only be competing with players who started around the same time as you. With having one player who has played for a year against 9 other players who started only a week ago makes this game completely unfair and dishonest. I’m pretty sure on the show they don’t have all-stars compete with new contestants. Everything about this game is just rigged and appealing only to those who pay extra for the game.
There is currently no option to turn music on or off - the app automatically closes all other audio when you open and want to play. It would be great to listen to your own music while playing but there isn’t even an option to turn off audio in the app. You have to turn down the volume on your phone to turn the audio off. That’s a basic level feature every app should allow. It also fully pauses any music you are listening to on another app and doesn’t let it start back up automatically when you leave the game.
Ideal example - can’t listen to your own music while headphones are on in the gym or on the plane - it forces you to listen to its own audio which makes me less likely to play.
Will consider updating my review if the audio issue is fixed.
It’s super fun to see how you dance. But it totally isn’t fair that when you need to get a certain number of gems for the dance to practice or impress the judges. Most of the time the color you need to match isn’t even on the board, making it almost impossible to impress the judges or get good practice in. It’s a way for this game to spend your gems so you get extra moves, and if you don’t have extra gems then you pay money. That’s not how these games should go. Most people can’t afford to pay $3.99 every time they run out of gems. Some can. Ya’ll are a big TV show who probably gets enough money as it is because you’re going on 26 seasons now, and DWTS live is coming to America soon as well.
I was on week 4 and now every time I go into the game it tells me to download new version but when go to App Store it Just says to open, doesn’t need to download. Now I’m going to lose all my progress if I delete the app to get rid of the download window. I wish I could click out of the download window. Also, the girl character is ugly and could make her look nicer, the bombs make it impossible to get colors you need especially during live show. I like the concept of the game but rules are confusing at first, the live show is frustrating, and now it’s frozen on download new version. 😡🤬
I love the show and this game sounded like it might be fun, despite the negative reviews. I made it through the tutorial, tried to collect the daily prize, and...nothing. Collect button didn't do anything and there was no way to exit that screen without performing that action. Had to force close the game. Maybe I didn't give it enough of a chance, but the deal-breaker for me was not having an option to shut off the very loud, awful, repetitive music. I could shut off the sound on my iPad, but that's not exactly the perfect solution. If you can tolerate the sound, maybe this will be an OK game for you. Overall, the game looked OK, but certainly not as good as I hoped.
I enjoy playing this game, it’s fun, but I have noticed a really sneaky and dishonest way this game is actually taking your money. I had 9 lightings left and in order to play the dress rehearsal I needed 15, so I traded my diamonds for the 50 bolts and then proceeded to play the dress rehearsal. However, when I was done with the dress rehearsal, I noticed that I had 36 bolts rather then 44. Unless my math is wrong here, if I have 9 bolts and I buy 50, then I 59, minus the 15 for the rehearsal, I should have 44, NOT 36. Why are y’all stealing my bolts rather than adding the ones I have to the refill that I’m getting? Unless I’m missing something here.
I am really enjoying this game overall, however, I think it’s excessive to have to wait a week to dance in front of the judges. Also, it is far to difficult to get good scores from the judges. If you do manage to complete every color that one of them asks for, you only get a 9 and not a 10. Why? It’s completed. Also, it would be nice to have a variety of boards to play. Not the same one over and over. Please keep the updates coming. And have a sale on diamonds. Thanks!
I've only been playing this game for one week and already there is a glitch. We're supposed to get free dresses every three hours with an option to buy more. Every time I go to collect my free gift it freezes and then tells me that I'm not connected to the internet or my server has stage fright. Every other part of the game works and I have no problems with my other games. I have been trying for two days. I have no new dresses to wear. It takes away one of the best perks of the game. It's frozen up again. Funny that hasn't stopped the game from taking my money. It is still freezing up and there is nothing wrong with the server.

So many glitches, out of nowhere. Stars aren't saving to get you to dress rehearsals and it stops loading. Also, it's crap that you have to wait two hours to play the live shows when they're only open for 2 days. And the higher you level up, the more numbers each dance requires in the trainings. There should be some boosters or something you've earned to use, but there aren't. Lastly, the bombs make strategy impossible, and it isn't fair to say you need a particular colour when there aren't enough of that colour on the board to even get you there before your moves run out. I used to like this game but I don't anymore. Please fix it.
