Crashed, second time used
It worked fine the initial time I used it. Now I want to transfer a few videos and photos again 5 months later; it starts up just fine, like it’s working, and then, while saving the second video, the app just shuts down! So frustrating. I have tried over and over. Tried unplugging and plugging back in. Same thing happens. Ouch!! Please help PNY. This is too much money to spend for this to happen.Show lessYellow Taffy
App file size increases!!
The UI isn't very intuitive and it takes a while to figure out how to properly move photos from your iPhone to the external drive. Once that obstacle is overcome it is a great tool for saving photos to free up limited space on my iPhone. However, BEWARE that for some reason this app starts with a footprint of only 25MB when installed, but quickly bloats to 1-2GB after using it a few times which negates the purpose of "freeing up" space on my iPhone. I have to continue to delete and reinstall this app to keep my available storage space useable.Show lessBAMM-BAM
It's cool. Could be a little better.
If they could thumbnail the vids it would be great. Having to go through vid by vid to see what it is is a hassle. And add an option to select while in view mode.FromBehindTheArch
iOS 11 public beta 1 - Unit doesn't work
Works ok under 10.3.2, but under iOS 11 Developer Beta 3 / Public beta 2, it STILL does not. Updaters beware, until PNY releases an update, your DuoLink device is not recognized on iOS ..
PNY, is there any ETA for an update? Or alternative way in? Thank you.NightHawkCA
June 30, 2017 still some crashes
Product works well as far as backing things up but it crashes on my IPhone 7 Plus every 2-5 minutes. Would love another update to fix this problem. Product is great, App needs work.dumboli0321
I regret buying this product
I have tried to rename files using this app and the app not only did not rename the file, it also duplicated my files and mangled the file names.
The company's web site is not helpful. I clicked on the link in iTunes to Gopod Group Limited Web Site - result? "Page Not Found". I tried the DUO-LINK Support link - result? "Page Not Found". I downloaded the DUO-LINK Update Tool for iPhone and iPad - result? It's a Windows executable.
The app's UI, terminology, and workflow are illogical.
So as not to have a total loss, I use the drive to transfer files from my iOS devices to my Mac. That's it. I don't risk using any of the app's "features".

Doesn't do what was promised!
This app will not allow a simple text or PDF file to be transferred from the DuoLink "external storage" flash drive area to any of the internal storage areas or into text-handling or PDF-handling apps installed on an iOS 10 iPhone 6s+. The flash drive itself works but NOT any useful "link" into or out of the iDevice. All it appears able to do is to play music or video that you store in its external flash drive. And to do that you have to remove any case from the iDevice so that the too-short Lightning end can reach into the iPhone. // PNY and its inferior software developers have really not delivered what they claimed from this product. I cannot recommend it to anyone, and I have been a PNY customer since 256K was a large flash drive!Show lessCalifornian90034
Disappointing
Bought this device to move photos from my phone and free up space. After downloading 2000 photos to the device, the app comes back and tells me that it can't delete the photos off my phone. What good is that? This was the entire reason why I bought the device was to download the photos and get them off my phone. For $35 I expected a better application to come with this device. There is no help file with the app, and the integration with iOS is nonexistent. I guess I got burned. I won't buy another PNY device againShow lessR.E.M.'s trade
Many, many problems
There are many problems with this app and the drive it supports. If all you want to do is copy a few photos and a few songs off your iOS device then fine. Otherwise, this is a waste of your money.
1) this doesn't support transfer of any existing documents already on your iOS device, period. This includes PDF, word, spreadsheets, presentation, you name it. There may be a sandboxing issue involved, but they were able to get around that for photos and audio files with a simple switch. They have nothing for documents.
2) Music copied to the drive is in a flat file structure. That is, all traces of albums and other information is gone. Furthermore, when I opened the music stored on the drive, everything but the name of the song was in Chinese.
3) There seems to be some sort of bug or other limit on the numbers of files transferred. After transferring about 40 songs a dialogue box popped up saying "Tip?", then characters in Chinese, then "Confirm". No other choices besides "Confirm". I wasn't about ready to confirm a "Tip" (payment? How much?) to who knows who so I killed the app. Since then I can't transfer any files. It goes through the motions but nothing happens.
There are many other problems but you get the general idea. This is shoddy bug-ridden programming that should never have been released from a company the size of PNY. I recommend against both the duo-link drive and this app until the problems are fixed.Show lessIP3uset
Just purchased- constantly crashes
Chose this over another brand without researching like I normally do. Seems like a bad decision at the moment. Not even 10 minutes into using the product and app has crashed way too many times! Can't even check out the app- tried to quickly back up a very small photo album and didn't even get a 1/4 of them backed up and what do you know (?) if CRASHED! Tried opening it again several times and it keeps crashing! Great concept would LOVE for it to work seems like a HUGE waste of money- should just stick with 'normal' phone to computer back ups and my trusty SanDisk thumb drives!Show lessJustMeNMyiPhone
