I'm not sure what all the low reviews are about, and due to them I was very hesitant to purchase this thing. I will admit, the high price tag is a MAJOR con for the Duolink. However after about 5 minutes of figuring it out it pretty much worked just fine. The interface could use a lot of polishing and it is a little confusing. I Also would like to see app storage on this device and a better .pdf reader for the storage files as I cannot open them from the .pdf viewers on device. That being said, it worked, I use it daily and I would recommend.Show lessFang333333
Does not see all files in photos!
This is a great idea but really isn't worth the purchase price. Can't rely on seeing all the files. Should give you an option to name a new folder at the time you chose to copy files over. Also should give choice to move folders, not just copy them over. Very basic! Individual Copied folders to flash drive do not have a number count of files copied over. Buyers beware, you will want to ensure 1- PNY is reading/seeing ALL your files, 2-make certain and double check, all files you selected have been copied. Btw, I am running the newest upgrade. Sorry PNY, this is a HUGE fail!!! I trusted your integrity with other products. I now will be a lot more cautious of your products and will think twice before purchasing any more. Good stuff, but needs to be improved
The PNY flash drive is great. Photos, Videos, and Contacts are in. I like how it easy to use with the app. HOWEVER, the app itself tends to shut down every 10-20 seconds. Please fix this issue. Also, maybe you can add a section in the app where you can store your apps in the external storage to save room. Works but could use improvement
I found it works great on the photos, videos and contacts. Which is why I gave it 4 stars. App crashes when copying MP3 files by saying music file already exists after about 2 minutes of copying music. So some songs got copied but no where near the whole amount.Patriot96796
Very Disappointed
I have the duo link original and it works perfect. The app works perfect. So I purchased the upgraded drive which is this the he duo link 3.0. The app is horrible. Upper left corner I cannot see the back button. It's just blank. Also which is the most important is that you cannot open documents of any time into the app to save them and then transfer them to the drive. I email support on website. Nothing. I went in website to get their firmware update tool. Did it and used two different computers and would not work. I end d up taking the drive back to the store and stuck with the original. Music crashed at first, but figured it out...
Pictures transferred awesome, but figured out what the problem was with the music crashing, it was the pre installed music from the U2 album, go in and delete the album and you won't have any problems transferring to the device, but my biggest issue at the moment is moving my music from one iPhone to another and the one I'm trying to transfer to won't allow me to even read the device...
Really upset that I can't use the features that you claim are available, gives me an error message and tells me that the storage device doesn't exist...Show lessChelle Babe 23
Total crap - doesn't work for pics
Update: got to work on iPad air for 1/2 pictures then says "duplicate" and fails. Videos worked. Reset/reformated drive device and tried again on iphone 6plus (after also erasing the app, resetting phone and redownloading the app). Failed again... Every time.
Very confusing system to begin with navigating the application. That said, I get an error every time I try to backup photos to the drive as "external storage.". Keeps saying "tip: file existed" and fails to back up any of my selected photos from my "all pictures" album. Totally worthless to me as such. Don't buy or use. So disappointed. Goes back to Walmart. Fix Music Please
I bought the USB in order to help free up some space on my iPhone and iPad Mini. So far, every time I go to try to back up my music, it crashes. The interface is simple enough, which is nice. Also, I've only been able to transfer about a third of my photos and videos to the USB. For some reason, it won't access the rest so I can transfer them over. Would be a great tool if these bugs were fixed!Show lessUndeadQueen1
Doesn't REALLY free up space
This app is good, interface is ok, but I got the drive to save space on my iPhone/iPad. What I don't care for is that the app starts at around 25Mb, but after using it, the size jumps up to almost 1Gb. Even after you remove the drive. I hope this is something they're working to fix, because apparently the amount of space you save isn't very much. Right now my drive is about half full. If it was full, would the app be almost 2Gb in size?Show lessNYpokHV
Great Product
Duo-Link does what it says. Convenient to load files from Mac and use on iPad without transferring wirelessly. The new 3.0 Duo-Link uses a new app that works well. An initial glitch that caused the screen on an iPad Pro to automatically reorient from landscape to portrait layout has been fixed by the developers. A great way to take large files, including videos with you without filling up the storage on your iOS device.Show lesswjbjr
