Description of FlexBeat Metronome

FlexBeat revolutionizes the traditional metronome by enabling musicians to program and save metric patterns that adapt to many modern music compositions that contain combinations of meters such as 3/4, 5/8 and 7/8. FlexBeat's unique note-style entry and measure numbering system provide ease of use for creating a structured playback of click sounds for multi-metered music. By saving and naming each unique beat pattern, the user can have fast access to their personal collection of practice excerpts. User settings allow optional subdivision clicks, looping of playback, introductory measures, background playback, external Bluetooth audio output, and many combinations of click timbres to meet a musician's individual practicing needs. Mid-pattern access provides easy editing and a flexible playback starting point. While FlexBeat can perform as a traditional metronome, it also has an extremely large tempo range, as the note basis for tempo selection can be set from as short as an eighth note to as long as a dotted half note. Saved patterns can be shared with other FlexBeat users via email - a powerful tool for any size ensemble or classroom. The metronome can be used for teaching advanced rhythms and is an invaluable resource for students and professionals alike. The in-app User Guide is a handy reference for fully utilizing all of the metronome's many capabilities. See our support website for a detailed video demonstration. FlexBeat was designed and developed by a team of experienced, professional musicians who understand the need for an extremely accurate tool for practicing modern repertoire. Users receive a full professional version, with no in-app purchases or advertising.

  • Simple rhythm...

Should have complex rhythm like triplets. I would like my money back

    Developer Response

Thanks for your feedback. If you'd like to hear triplet subdivisions (without any specific multimeter pattern entered), tap the bottom right tempo button and select any dotted note on the left side. Also check that the "Subdivide" toggle is on. If it's something else you're trying to do, we'd like to hear about it! Contact us by going to www.innerpulsemusic.com/contactUs.html. The home page also has a full video demo for the app.
  • The most versatile metronome I’ve ever used!

I can create multi-meter, multi-rhythmic patterns, save them in a directory, AND share them. I’ve created saved patterns to accompany all of the exercises in my The Breathing Book for Horn and shared the patterns with my students. Very cool!
  • Excellent App

I find this apps one of the most helpful apps I've ever used. Much of the 20th century trumpet music has changing time meters throughout; this metronome helps significantly when rehearsing these pieces. The developers have worked extremely hard and care about their product and their customers. I highly recommend this!
