Our Records simplify legal proceedings for attorneys as well, making the evidence gathering process easy and streamlined. Reviews of TalkingParents

  • Yes!

I love that this app holds both parents accountable I love that nothing can be deleted or taken back I also love that it shows when everything is read or edited, this relives a lot of pressure of feeling forced to respond back, showing read notifications at least lets the other parent know it was received, this limits a lot of communication which in our case is great seeing as it can be complicated almost all of the time. This keeps the genuine parents protected and lest the courts see true colors of those who paint murals over their mistakes.

    Developer Response

Thank you so much for your enthusiastic review! We're thrilled to hear that our app has been helpful in holding both parents accountable and facilitating transparent communication. We understand the importance of maintaining a clear record of conversations, especially in complex situations like co-parenting arrangements. If you ever have any recommendations or suggestions, please reach out to support@talkingparents.com.
  • Perfect to document parental communication

I appreciate TP since it is a way to communicate with my (verbally abusive) ex about our children.
A person with bad intent will watch their words, knowing it is documented and can’t be edited.
Very easy to print out full transcript of the conversation, or select pages/dates. If opened as a pdf, you can search for specific words, so you can easily find the message(s) regarding this subject.
This is perfect to use in court, instead of text screenshots or printing out emails. Any and all communication gathered in 1 document, to be presented and accepted in court.

    Developer Response

Thank you for taking the time to leave us this detailed review. Our Unalterable Records are meant to help maintain cooperative communication between co-parents. They can be obtained by either parent at any time and are designed to be used for court purposes. If you ever have any questions or come up with any suggestions for how our service can be even more useful, please let our team know!
  • Ruined by high prices and one little punctuation mark

Anyone who uses this app is probably not doing so by their own choice. They are most likely ordered to do so through the court system.
I understand charging for premium services, and I am aware that you can login in your browser and use the service for free. However, I have seen the prices skyrocket over the past five years that I’ve been using the app, and other than some useless “premium” features, there’s really no reason to do so. They have a captive audience, they know it, and they stand to make double the amount of money because there’s two people that are forced to use this app if they want any sort of record to take back to court.
The other extremely frustrating feature of this app is that whenever you get a new notification, it says “New Message!”with an exclamation point. I don’t know about you, but I’m not excited to get a new message from my coparent, as it usually is something negative. If anything, can you please remove the stupid exclamation point!!!!!!!!!!!

    Developer Response

We really appreciate this feedback. We will communicate your suggestion to remove the exclamation point from the New Message notification to our team. We strive to meet parents where they are in their co-parenting journey; this is why we offer three different plans. Our Premium Plan allows parents to initiate a recorded phone or video call to their co-parent. However, the parent does not need to be upgraded to the Premium Plan as well to receive the call. They can be on the Standard Plan to receive recorded video calls. Parents on the Free Plan and the Standard Plans can receive phone calls. If you would like any information on what the different plans offer, please visit talkingparents.com/pricing.
