I don’t think any other game I’ve played has made me feel that way before.” - Matt Thrower, PocketGamer

Reviews of Lifeline

  • Amazing

This is the first review I’ve ever written. And it’s long over due. Years ago I purchased Lifeline and it remains to this day an app outstanding in my mind. I have downloaded so many apps for entertainment over the years that few rarely stick in my head. Lifeline is a breed of its own. Every single production since has been just as wonderful as the first. I would honestly pay more for this app but I am very happy that its cost is more than justified considering the pay off you will get. You develop a kind of weird relationship with the characters in these games. Has an app ever made you cry? Ever made you ecstatic for a character overcoming a hurdle? Welcome to Lifeline. Basically, you easily become emotionally invested while also enjoying yourself. I have tried sooooo many games similar to this (now) franchise since and there’s just none that compare. At all.
  • Drew me in from start to finish!

Lifeline:Whiteout took an approach I’ve never personally seen in games. It was very fun guiding Adams through the story. Every choice you make either has a positive or negative effect, some that end the game even. But the fact that you could go back and edit choices kept me from being too upset about slip-ups. I LOVED that time actually had to pass between events, it made it almost feel real! And though it was finished in 3 days, I felt bittersweet at the end. I could definitely play another game. I also LOVE THAT IT WAS FREE. It’s hard to find a story that you just enjoy and play, no ads! I’d pay for future ones though, gladly.
  • Amazing, best “text/choice game” I’ve found so far

It’s amazing what text can convey. This is the first Lifeline I’ve completed, but I am currently playing through the others and this is so far my favorite. It tests people’s mind by providing choices that are moral-based and knowledge-based and, in my opinion, these choices are great for making people stop and think and if you are uncaring and hasty, it will probably have consequences. I would definitely recommend this to my friends. It’s the first ever text-based game/app I’ve ever played and seen that made me become close to crying and it made me sad to think that at the end of the game... That Adams is not a real person but a character and that I would never get to know him in real life and have a drink with him, haha. Anyway, I rate this 5 out of 5 stars and I am very glad I got to experience this app.
