  • Good app

I finally figured out to swipe left to delete erroneous data and that you must not put letters in glucose box, but the day and date do not match up! It is Monday Feb 18 not Sun Feb 18. Is there a fix for this?
  • Tedious, buggy and doesn’t allow January 1 entries

The layout of the data entry forms are extremely tedious to fill in. Also in the Food and Insulin section, if you add incorrect data and then delete that incorrect data, the screen reloads with random data probably from another entry (likely a database referencing issue). The food entry doesn’t allow you to specify what food was given for a particular amount (grams) of food Eg if your pet needs to have part dry and part wet food in different amounts. The app allows for one pet only so you’ll need multiple devices / iPhones per pet. Also you cannot do an entry for a date that is the first of January of any year including he current year 2019! The app is generally hard to navigate. You are better off copying the fields you need into a spreadsheet and tracking it there - but for the clinical score, just use the app to calculate it. This app requires serious review and redesign from a user experience (UX) expert and designer.

  • Brilliant app

    Wow this app is fantastic!!!
It took a while to completely understand all the information it needs as I am a complete novice to the diabetes world as my dog has only recently been diagnosed. It really helps when I needed to monitor my dogs curve and you can forward the info to your vet instantly, which I have been doing on a daily basis at ease which my vet loves. The app really gives me the information I need to help my dog to be comfortable and at her happiest.

  • Calendar Issue

Yes, please please fix the calendar! I love the app so far but the tracking is off by a day and there’s no way to change it that I can see.
  • Just downloaded

So far I like this app. It gives me one place to keep info, BUT .... PLEASE FIX the calendar!!! It is one day off .... as another reviewer has noted.
  • Awesome App

This has really helped me monitor my newly diagnosed dog with his diabetes. The reports and graphs are great communication tools for me to discuss with my vet. I’m hoping it will persuade my vet that home BG monitoring is a good thing as well as being an easy visual for them to advise me on his insulin levels. There is one thing however that is probably a quick fix for the developer, I’m in New Zealand and the dates are a day behind for the Diabetes log and can’t be changed by the user so all my data is a day behind. Would be great to hav ethics small thing fixed especially when I show the vet my BG scores. Many thanks

  • Good, would be great. Please fix the bugs!

This is exactly what i need to monitor my newly diagnosed diabetic dog. Taking BG levels every 2-4 hours, making charts and graphs to send the vet was taking up half of my day. This is simple, initiative and does almost everything i need. But the calendar is wrong - day of the week and date doesn’t match up and if you good and need to delete an entry by swiping left and then X. It appears to delete the other entries. But if you start over, you’ll find duplicates when you save and then look at that day. I finally have the bugs figured out - for the most part- but they are annoying and I may look elsewhere. If this worked properly i wouldn’t mind at all anonymously sharing my pets data. Just a little work please to help those of us struggling to help our pets?

  • Great but for the dates

It’s great for charting insulin levels. Only problem is the dates are wrong and I can’t see a way to change them. For example, the app is Sunday Nov 13, 2017. Also not sure if it’s defaulting to GMT vs EST.
  • Essential app to monitor a pet's diabetes

I really love this app (iPhone version). It has everything I need to help me with managing my cat's diabetes. I wanted it primarily to be able to record blood glucose levels and view the blood glucose curve to send to my vet. I've been using a human diabetic app which works well for recording blood glucose and giving me a curve but it had no other use.

With this app from the Royal Veterinary College I can also monitor my cat's weight, general health, medication and food so that I feel more in control of my cat's health. The only thing it doesn't do is provide someone to give the injections if I want an evening out!

The app allows you to send a full report in PDF with a friendly first page all about your pet including a photo! So if if I record blood glucose or weight or my cat's general disposition it will appear on the report which is what my vet wants to see. It doesn't show the blood glucose graph on the report but I don't expect the vet needs a graph as well to see what's going on.

One glitch - the report states my cat is male even though I selected and saved female.

This is the first time that I have used the app and it has been a bit of a learning curve particularly as I'm not someone who reads instructions. My biggest problem was entering information in the wrong place or duplicating it in the wrong place but when I looked on the RVC's Facebook page I found there was a way to delete my errors. Now I know what to do it will be a piece of cake to enter the information into the app.

So now I am left with just one request which would make this app perfect. Could you add a reminder for taking blood glucose readings throughout one day? I can see you have a reminder for giving medication every day but nothing for blood glucose readings.

I strongly recommend this app for any cat or dog owner whose pet has diabetes and they want to play an active part in the control of their pet's diabetes.
