  • I’ve index

I find knowing the Uv index very handy for planning what time of day to go out and taking the dog for a walk. As I am very fair skinned and burn easily 😊
  • Need auto-update function

This app is perfect for my childcare centre. We use it to constantly show children the UV here in Australian, and keep them safe.

However, I would love if the app updated the UV automatically ever 1-5 minutes when left open.

Currently we have to tap the screen to update the UV, which isn’t perfect. Perhaps an option to apply for educational or childcare purposes with different functionality? We just love the UV display but only want that!

Thank you for this feedback! I’ll add an auto update of the UI in the next app update. Will try to fix this ASAP.
  • Doesn’t sync well with Apple Health

This is a really great app with a lot of information available to the user.

My only complaint is the App used to sync well with Apple Health, but it doesn’t work as well as it did before.

Developer: I am using Apple iOS OS,  iPhone 14
Pro Max, but the issue was also on my  iPhone 13 Pro Max as well.

Using the most recent version of your app that is offered from the  Apple App Store.

I paid for the full version of the app, and it will now only sync when I press the “restore purchase” option for a couple days, then I have to redo it.

    Thank You.

  • Satisfied

Really good app. The best I have found for that purpose. Works really great with Apple Watch and Apple Health. When you register time exposition to the sun, it's not clear how to stop it VS pause it. I'm always confused. Maybe put clearer button's texts.
  • Best UV app I’ve found. I never go outside without checking this app first!

Lots of useful features and super easy to use. Love this app!
  • Makes it easier!

Love this app as it helps us plan to avoid the highest UV days/times, helps me reason with kids and grandparents who just don’t want to worry about this kind of thing.
  • Widget won’t work

Unfortunately I bought a subscription thinking I would get to use the widget option on my home screen but no matter what I try I can’t add the feature to my phone. It was the only reason I got it so a little disappointed. A cool app if the features worked
  • Why allow download?

Doesn’t work unless you purchase premium…
How can a 80° full sunshine day, display 0 for a UV? That makes no sense…
Oh it’s because you Have to purchase the premium or upgrade. Why allow the app to download to begin with instead of just charging up front and being honest?
Thanks for the waste of time. Have a nice day.

  • no forecast means limited usefulness

in the "forecast" tab, it only shows me today's data when I look at it at night. but that's now old data - not a forecast. it's the same problem with the spinner UI in the UVI tab - it spins backward to earlier on the day. that's useless old info.

    Developer Response

The pro version has a 7 day forecast, but I agree that the free version should get a few more days of forecast as well. Will change this in the next update of the app. Thank you for the feedback!
  • Sunburnt

Good but be very careful overtrusting the “risk of sunburn” time in the app. I went out sunbathing for the first time this year and saw the app say risk of sunburn in 1 hour 10 minutes”. I stayed out for at most 45 mins and still got minor sunburn.

It’s still a good app to show how strong the UV is, but probably a good idea to at least halve the limit if it’s your first time getting exposed in a while…
