This app is an actual joke. With the entire world able to download and read/review what is published, the editor(s) should be ashamed! Unless of course preschool news education, format, grammatical errors and the continual inability to perform the most basic function of a “NEWS” app is your goal....... you hit it out of the park!
This is the first time I’ve rated an app low because I always remember the motto my parents instilled in me that “if you can’t say anything nice, don’t say anything at all.” If I could give zero stars you would have been the first for me. Every time I try to use your app, a video won’t play, a hyperlink doesn’t work or there is something spelled wrong. I have actually emailed multiple times to multiple recipients to include the writer of each story and the editors of said department of writers etc. In one article alone, I wasn’t through the second paragraph and had encountered 3 errors. I wanted to pull my hair out!! To think that this company swooped in and purchased the old channel 11, KTVA which was the CBS affiliate in Anchorage (not sure if all of AK) and turns around and spits out Channel 5 in its place but smooshed one the best news apps right into the trash. The Great Replacement: Now we have the same preschool type stuff presented all wrapped up in the sadness they call KTUU/KYES. I hope they hire some experts to help them get out of the hole they have put them selves into.Show lessHedda01

To be honest I am personally disgusted with how you present the news, many people would agree channel 2 news is one-sided. what happened to both sides?!?

Not as good as I want. The only news app for Anchorage Alaska. KTUU has taken over other news channels. So all you get is what they tell you. Someone needs to give out real news. Please give us a chance to here the other side of the news. Takeover is not good.tomabrunner
Terrible App, Do Better KTUU!
I only downloaded the app because KTVA is basically defunct, but sheesh guys, this app is terrible. It loads up half of the time, it’s buggy and full of ads. It takes me forever to scroll through the topics because everything is scattered and clunky. Who designed this app???? You should take a page from KTVA’s app and streamline line your product. A top tier news app shouldn’t look like some random glitch article from Facebook. Do better KTUU, please. This is an embarrassment.Show lessKiragami =^_~=
Not working for me.
I used to be able to check my local news. However this app is not functioning. So I am deleting KTUU. I won’t miss the ads or the poorly written stories with bad grammar and misspelled words.JEANDE58
Worthless App
Gray Television Stations bought out KTVA channel 11 in Anchorage Alaska. KTVA had a fantastic app that allowed us to stream their professional news reports flawlessly.
We were able to watch in our community of Seward, Alaska.
Now we can only watch KTUU Chanel 2 in Anchorage which is somewhat boring.
KTVA had a great news team including Melissa Frey reporting the Alaska weather with great expertise! Megan Mazuric was the best news journalist in Alaska.
KTVA news & weather were transformed to KYES channel 5 in Anchorage & now we can no longer stream KYES in Seward.
KTUU CHANNEL 2 is our only streaming option and it freezes constantly & we end up missing the news & weather reports altogether.
Please create an app specifically for KYES Channel 5 (which is a CBS network). We pay for CBS live streaming every month but somehow Gray Television has disabled our ability to live stream CBS although we pay for it.
Thanks for blocking our ability to watch the news. Sure hope there is not an emergency in Seward, Alaska and we are left in the dark.Show lessLarbeaux
They broke it
I used this as one of my primary news sources, but they did something to the app that caused it to severely drain my battery. My Iphone SE is only a month old, and this morning the battery went from 100% to 22% in 2 hours. Diagnostics shows KTUU app running full power in the background all night. Dishonest...shame...
We were just watching the news and they made it look like an infected woman was coughing on people until the end where they said that someone else was infected. We had to watch twice to make sure that was wrong. Just sick and twisted.piercedlove
Notification count won’t reset
I haven’t had any problems with this until recently. The notification count will zero out after I open the app, but comes back and just continues to climb from the previous numberbohochipmunk
Stopped working.
I’ve never had any problems until just recently. When trying to open the TopHeadlines portion of the app, it just closes the page and sends it back to my home screen. Frustrating. Something changed. Wish they’d fix it.PaxFinn
