Introducing Tempo v6. This is an amazing update to make your favorite running app even better. The key feature of this release is Readiness. It has been in the works for a long time (to put mildly). Please give it a try and share your feedback — we can iterate and tune it further as more of us use it everyday. I hope you find it helpful in your training.  Here’s an overview of the release, • Introducing Readiness Track your daily physiological recovery and training adaptation based on your HRV and Resting Heart Rate in Tempo's new Readiness tab. • Glanceable Durations Tempo's signature dashboard design now includes total workout durations. You can swipe between durations, paces, and distances for the last 7/30/365 days + current week/month/year. • Configure Dashboard Calendar Change the number of weeks displayed on the Training Dashboard's Intensity calendar from Tempo's in-app settings. • Indoor & Outdoor Workouts Tempo's filtering feature now supports viewing stats only for indoor or outdoor workouts. You can also exclude indoor workouts from the average pace displayed on the Training Dashboard. • Bug fixes & Minor Design Changes And of course, as always, there are a bunch of bug fixes and minor design optimizations. While a lot more is in the works and will happen incrementally, I wanted to get this huge feature launched for the fall racing season. :) TL;DR: We can now build custom workouts and do those workouts from the Workout app on Apple Watch. No third-party workout tracking app is required. Create a workout in Tempo, add it to the watch, and it will show up in the Workout app. Here's a quick summary of the feature, • Create and manage custom workouts from simple time, distance, or pace-based goals to complex multi-block intervals. • Upload your custom workouts to the Workout app on your Apple Watch and use them just like the standard pre-installed workouts. • Make the Workout app follow your training calendar by setting dates for the workouts. • View your entire schedule of past and upcoming workouts in Tempo. • Send your friends a copy of your favorite workout routine for them to try it on their Apple Watch. • Review your custom workout goals alongside all the beautiful workout details generated post-workout in Tempo. • All your custom workouts are stored in your iCloud account and stay private within Apple's Workout app. More to come.   • The best running app

    I’ve been running everyday for over three years. I found this app when I first got an Apple Watch a couple years ago and loved it, but I decided I wanted a more “pro” sports watch and switched to Garmin so I stopped using Tempo for about 8 months. Garmin watches are good and their app is fine, but it honestly does not compare to what Tempo does. I recently came back to the Apple Watch and using Tempo and this is by far a superior app to anything I’ve ever used. I’m so impressed with the developer, they clearly understand the data that runners want and need. The subscription is ridiculously cheap for all the functionality you get. The only thing that would make this app better is if you could export a gpx file. Otherwise, it’s perfect.
  • This is EXACTLY what a runner needs!

    So many fitness apps aim to appeal to many different disciplines and fall short at providing really great, running focused data. Tempo not only collects data from all of your workout apps through Apple Health, but it leverages it to help you better manage all of your progress!

    You can set goals, see PRs, and manage volume all from this app! Apps like Strava do similar things but don’t play well with others AND aren’t built with a running first mindset. Tempo has it all! I found it about a month ago, and I’ll be a premium subscriber for life!

    One random bit: the Tags feature is extremely powerful. I’m using it to track the amount of mileage on specific shoes and to see how many miles I’ve trained for a specific event. So simple, but so great!

    This is a very nice running log. I really like it! I know there’s a notes section but it would be really cool if there was some ratings you could add like overall feel of the run 9/10 or 1/10 and overall mental state and just some factors that could influence it like bad/good nutrition or sleep or back to back hard days. It would be a nice addition, but in any case the app is great!
